How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Doctors Are Good But....
I had two a breast augmentation and rhinoplasty by Dr. Fuentes here this month. He was great (review on his personal provider page), so this review is for the health center ONLY.
I was skeptical coming to Mexico for surgery, but I love my results. I do feel though I compromised quality in the over all experience. The staff here was nice enough, but a lot of things were uncomfortable or strange. The language barrier was hard, but we made it work.
Before the surgery, I was unable to bring anyone up with me so you will be all alone. You will be in a shared prep room, which is not private. There was a curtain in between me and other patients but that's it. The nurses only spoke Spanish, so the bedside manner was pretty non-existent. I felt very ignored. The anesthesiologists was nice and came to talk to me, but there was no clear, "You will be going to sleep now, count back from 100" moment.... Instead, she said they would give me a pill, I took it, and next thing I knew I was waking up with boobs (totally exposed/shirtless again in the shared room). My family member wasn't there to sit by me as the anesthesia wore off, and the nurses were not communicating what would come next. One came over a couple of times to give me water and help me cover up. I think I was there for at least an hour, confused and too weak to ask for help. Later, I was moved to a different room with recliner chairs and I was left there alone with what felt like forever. I knew it was getting late, my family had my phone, I was alone, and again I had NO IDEA what was going on because nothing was being communicated. Though In felt weak, I ended up getting up and walking to the reception area and telling the receptionist "I want to go home". From there, she came and walked me back to the room, helped me get dressed, the doctor quickly came and talked to me, and they took me downstairs in a wheel chair.
In the end, I got to the center at 7am, the surgery ended at 2pm, and I did not leave until 6pm. I think that was a lot of wasted time, again when I was largely ignored and had absolutely no information. My family was notified when I got out of the surgery, but were also out of the loop the next 4 hours. It wasn't very pleasent being dazed and confused alone. Though I was pretty dizzy and out of it, I would have preferred to be given the option to go home instead of wait alone that long.
Again, I definitely noticed a change in quality of experience coming to Mexico as compared to America, but it was not horrible. And I am super happy with the results and the price.
