Exceptional!!
I am now nearly 7 months post-op and I am really happy with my results. For as long as I can remember, I had been immensely self-conscious about my nose, to the point where it effected my life, confidence and self esteem. Although I was desperate to do something about it, I was also very nervous and as it had been such a focus for me, I knew that I would be very fussy with the outcome of rhinoplasty. After endless research, I found Dr. East and knew immediately that he would be the surgeon that would give me the result I desired. What I liked most about his approach was the way in which he maintained a very natural look, making what appeared like very subtle changes to the naked eye, but when comparing a before and after photo, the change was quite different and made a face looked more balanced, complimentary etc. From beginning to end, the process was great. Charles and his team have always been really warm, caring, quick on responding, all round super professional, lovely and I always felt in like I was in very safe hands.
Before my surgery I really wanted to know that the way I was feeling was 'normal', so I just want to say that as someone who can easily overthink (so something as big as undergoing surgery was always bound to be a challenge), no matter how much I trusted Charles, I still had the natural response of feeling anxious leading up to and after the operation. I also want to note that when my cast first came off I thought I had made a huge mistake and felt really upset (crying spells, felt like I couldn't recognise myself, sick to my stomach etc.), but this was all part of the process and although I had been told that this was a normal reaction, I struggled to get past my brain struggling to adjust to the change. In the weeks and months that followed the cast removal, every day my emotions were different as I gradually adjusted to the changes and tried to remind myself that the ups and downs of swelling and the process in general were completely normal. However, looking back now I can safely say that whatever emotional roller coaster I went on it was completely worth it and I have not looked back since. I now feel SO much more confident and I no longer feel uncomfortable with my side profile (I always wanted to cover my face/look away), it really has changed my life. What was also quite crazy abut the whole process is that it turned out I had a broken nose and a deviated septum. This meant that I always had a problem with my breathing, so despite aesthetically looking great, the improved functionality of my nose means I can now breathe so much better!! :) I want to say a huge thank you to Charles and his amazing team, you really are the best of the best!
