Dry and Rushed Experience
Flew in from ny to medellin, met up with doc a week before rhinoplasty revision to discuss what I wanted, it seemed very rushed and welp I already invested in plane tickets, hotel and time so I just prayed and went through with it. He showed me how it would look from a side view, and I was happy to know any improvement was better than what I was struggling to see at the moment. After surgery I woke up in excruciating pain like I had been hit in the face (especially forehead) with a metal bat 10x. Super dehydrated and I was yelling in pain while the nurses kept chit chatting in the background and that made me feel angry. I had to breathe and sleep from my mouth for the next two weeks and it was so bad I woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air and having hard heart palpitations. also doctor does not check up on you after surgery and if you get sick or have an emergency, he doesnt answer on weekends or after 5 pm on weekdays. two weeks after procedure he cleaned my nose and changed the tapes but my husband noticed he quickly put a thin little piece of gauze over a small dot that formed on my nose. Fast forward to a week later when I changed the tape on my own, I noticed the dot he covered up was becoming a growing hole! i told my hubby to look up my nose and the hole/cut was infected from the inside! i noticed it on a friday evening so i texted him but didnt get a response till the following monday. I had to go to pharmacy and buy mupirocin to kill the infection which took about a month to rid and it left a horrible deep scar on the side of my nose. He never checked up to see how i was healing, if the infection cleared up, just seemed like was in a hurry and sent me off after the surgery. He operates many ppl so i realized hes too busy to build a good clientele relationship and it's really sad because if he was more concerned with patients aftercare there would be less infection rates, complications and deaths. I do wish him the best but I believe he can do much better if he slows down the pace. The love of money can definitely be the reason everything is rushed, pushed out the door and forgotten.
