Dr. Juan Diego Mejia has performed two separate surgeries on me in the last 2 years and has done over 8 procedures transforming my life in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY FOREVER. Words will never be able to express the absolute impact he has had on my life which has given me more confidence than I could have imagined. Dr. Mejia, typically only does rhinoplasty surgeries, however during my first procedure which was a rhinoplasty he helped me with fine tuning some of my facial features. He did a superior job on my face. Then this last week, he helped me with an explant, capsulectomy, and breast lift. He gave me exactly what I always wanted perky, little, natural breasts. I am recovering so nicely and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. He is THE BEST plastic surgeon in the world.
100% recommend! I went to Colombia from the USA and it was worth it. I went with two friends. Two of us had rhinoplasties and the third had buttock augmentation. No pain for either of us and the results are amazing. This was back in 2020 and we are still in love with the results. Dr. Juan Diego Mejia is very warm and kind. I did message him while recovering and he answered right now. We are all glad with the choice of choosing him as our doctor.
My experience start to finish was absolutely amazing. Before traveling and going I was worried because I wouldn't know how big I was able to get because it's whatever fits in the muscle so I was nervous I'd go spend the money the pain recovery for small results and every girl I know who's gotten implants says they wish they got bigger. In my case this didn't happen dr Juan was able to fit a good size implant in me thankfully. I was beyond nervous, and my first time traveling alone I also don't speak Spanish. Ivan was my driver and he went above and beyond for me. I truly would not have been able to do it without him. I know he's a " driver" but he's really more like a person assistant honestly. He was on time for my pickup when I landed, beyond friendly and very comforting. He did most of my paper work and ALL the translating for all the different people you have to talk to before surgery. He was amazing to have. Dr Juan is very nice and comforting also. Right before surgery the staff was so kind and friendly doing everything they could to make me comfortable as I was kind of having a panic attack and about to faint which was amazing of the staff and the language barrier they tried so hard. I got wheeled off to surgery room, and to be put to sleep. I started to crying I was so scared the few woman working on me were like petting my hair rubbing my cheek rubbing my arm telling me it's going to be fine, to just go to sleep then I was out. EVERYONE WAS SO KIND. My surgery went well, I wokeup in a post op area with area other girls. I was very comfortable waking up had a nice heating blanket. I felt okay and very calm environment. They gave me juice, I wasn't sick or anything. A nurse dressed me she was very nice and gentle, they made me walk to a recliner chair were I napped abit on and off. Ivan came in, talked to me gave me my phone made sure I told my family I was done and I was fine which was very thoughtful of him. Also Ivan helped me out by getting my medication while I was in surgery because I didn't do it the day before. We waited for my nurse whom came home with me. Berta she was amazing like she babied me to the max. She massaged my legs feets, cooked me amazing meal, clean my Airbnb, she washed some of my clothes by hand. She out did herself. Was ALWAY on time for my medication with meals so my stomach didn't get upset. Coffees at all the right times. She helped me use the bathroom and she bathed me. I couldn't be more thankful for her. I got my surgery Friday afternoon, I had Berta stay with me till Monday afternoon. Once my drains came out, the maintenance was less I didn't need her anymore. I was sad to see her go. I was about 95% better 6 days post op, I was shocked under a week, I was out and about enjoying Medellin. I was in Medellin for total of 16 days. I landed on a Wednesday, Thursday all my pre op stuff and Friday surgery. I'm so happy with my result I got 400cc implants decent size. I feel Dr Juan really understood me and we were on the same page of what I didn't want to look like. It turned out perfect in my mind. I'm very small 5'4 105 pounds, I love that from the front you cannot tell I still have my hipdips, it's all in the back and it's big. The incision at 9 days are barely there it's going to heal up very nice. I was walking same day, sleeping on stomach, sitting leaning forward so pressure was on my tights within a week. 3/10 pain. He's very talented. I also did Buccel Fat removal. I was swollen for abit I think just now about 14 days post op I'm starting to notice. That was so easy I kept forgetting I got it. I saw dr Juan 4 times after surgery checkup and changing my bandages. Each time he was so gentle with the area. Went over everything with me covered all my questions. He's so great. I'd highly recommend Ivan, Dr Juan and the whole team. They're absolutely AMAZING. I've never been treated so well and taken such good care of. The treatment I got is 10000% better then any hospital, dr experience I've had in Toronto. Updated on 10 Dec 2023: It's been almost 2 years and results are amazing! Recently went back to dr Juan for breast implants My fav doctor ! Second time getting surgery with dr Juan, I love him. He's so compassionate and kind with his clients. He really takes his time to explain every little detail to assure your comfortable with the process. This time I got 400cc breast implants under the muscles. When I got there I wasn't to sure what I was looking for we worked together to find sometime suitable for me. I'm very trusting in him and he proved himself with amazing result my boobs are perfect. I'm from Toronto I went to a consult there ages ago the doctor was to cold and rushed Once again I couldn't be more comfortable and happier with my results
Okay so I’m giving dr Mejía 4 stars because there were some things that weren’t clear for it to have been a 5 star experience. Remember everyone’s experience is different, what I felt you might not feel, but I really wanted to share my experience to maybe help someone out. Rhinoplasty does not hurt at all (I didn’t even feel the need to take the pain medication, but I did anyway because it was recommended). Waking up right after surgery I was shocked at how normal I felt, but following throughout the day things become more uncomfortable. I don’t want to scare anyone but I felt as if I was drowning in my own blood. It’s extremely uncomfortable and hard to breathe swallow or talk, you start to panic. You just have to try to remain calm and entertained and remember it’s all part of the process of healing. Luckily the worst night was the first night, the second day I felt way better and was able to eat. Although it might be extremely difficult try to eat and drink some water as much as you can. I got dehydrated and nauseous and had to go to the clinic for an iv and some nausea medication. The second day bruising was worse and the third day swelling was at it’s highest. I’d say from the third day on you begin to feel more like yourself, moving around etc. Looking at the pre and post op pictures they take I was in shock. Dr Mejía is a magician, I couldn’t believe he had transformed my nose the way he did, all while making it look extremely natural. Buttttt once he removed my cast ( not everyone requires a cast btw) I wasn’t in love with my nose. It was super swollen, it’s still super swollen and im 2 weeks post op today. I know it’s all part of the process and that it will take time for the swelling to go down, especially in my case where he made my nose significantly smaller. I will say I love my new profile, it’s looks so cute and small. I have noticed that with each day I do notice my nose get better and better, I can’t wait to see how it will look 3, 6 months post op. Some tips to remember: Stay calm, try to watch your favorite movie or show, and have some company. Lots of ice in the eye area to help with bruising and swelling Follow medication and instructions to avoid worst case scenario Do the nasal cleanses often.
Dr Juan Diego mejia deserves 10+ stars. I am From USA and was searching to have a tummy tuck. I was 200 lbs when pregnant. I’m Currently 125lbs. I had a lot of skin and stretch marks. I needed an expert ! Dr Juan Diego was referred to my sister from dr Gongora. She referred to me and I referred to my mother in law. My mother in law was the first to operate with him. She underwent a breast lift. Her surgery, recovery, and results were phenomenal. Dr Juan Diego’s attention and expertise exceeded expectations. From the moment I contacted dr juan Diego about having a tummy tuck his response was quick and honest. He answered all my concerns. At first I was attempting to having a mini tummy tuck but at the consult he suggested I was a candidate for a full tummy and with all my trust in him and his team I followed his guidance. I underwent a full tummy tuck with lipo in my back and inner & outer thighs and fat injection into Glutes. All appointments were scheduled accordingly. His assistant is amazing. From covid test to anesthesiologist to insurance and blood work. Everything was perfect. The day of the surgery I was well taken care of. The hospital staff were extremely helpful and polite. They catered to all my needs. When I woke up from surgery, I felt great. I had no pain, no nausea, no dizziness, only shaking a bit which they medicated me. I was able to hydrate without issues. I stayed one night in the hospital. Being pescatarian, they accommodated me without fail. All the staff took very great care of me. I was able to walk and use the bathroom easily. The nurses were surprised. I had no pain only my stomach felt tight. I even asked if it was an obligation to take pain medicine of how great I felt. I left the next day to our apartment. The hospital did not let me leave without eating and without my nurse. My amazing nurse BERTA I wish I had spent more time with her she was such a pleasure but I felt so great I only needed her the first night home and to shower 2 times after. She was a sweetheart and extremely attentive. As soon as I arrived home everything was scheduled for the pain pump nurse to visit me. The pain pump is optional but recommended. I had it for 6 days. It’s a portable IV that drips pain medicine into you. You get this little Black purse with it inside. Juliana was the pain pump nurse who was so great and lovely. She checked in on us every other day in person. Dr juan Diego advised I start massages immediately, which I did. MariLuz is the drs masseuse. She was sweet, knowledgeable, and experienced. Her massages lasted over an hour every time. She always checked my incision and belly button. She really went above and beyond. After the first week I began with 2 massages a day. I left Colombia with 20 massages. My inflammation went down to 30% ! I felt great. By the 3rd day post op I was already walking at the mall. I was extremely happy and satisfied with my procedure, results, drs skill and organization, and his team. My scar is as thin as the wrinkles on your palm. He also made the scar very low that I will be able to wear bikinis without problem. He Is truly an artist and like any successful business has a team as bright as him. I have recommended dr juan Diego to 5 more people who plan to operate within the next 8-10 months. I also plan to return next year for a breast lift. I trust him with my eyes closed. I’m so grateful to have found a surgeon like him. Btw my mother in law operated again with me the same day (glute implants) and she also had a great recovery with little pain and amazing results. Thanks dr! See ya soon I will continue to upload photos as I recover Updated on 9 Apr 2021: 14 days post op Swelling significantly less 0 pain Standing straight for about 10 days Feel great Had about 20 massages by now Will update again shortly with more photos ............................. Updated on 16 Apr 2021: I’m feeling great. Been driving since last week. I’m regaining the feeling in my skin. My abs feel super tight. There’s still a lot of swelling but I’ve gotten a lot better. I’m starting to see the etching marks. I’m drinking a lot of water, pineapple juice, and cucumber with lime juice. My Glutes are more shaped. I finally have projection. My incision is marvelous!!! It’s as thin as the wrinkles on my hand and I’m only 3 weeks post op. I’m very satisfied with my results and recovery so far and am Eager to see myself within the next couple months. Updated on 16 Apr 2021: Looking greatttttt I still have inflammation around the incision but I have no pain. It looks great. I’ve been changing bandages every other day. I wet it when I shower then blow dry. The dr recommends to use scar away cream after 1 month post op Updated on 20 Apr 2021: I’m feeling good. I started sleeping on my sides. I’m already on my 3rd row on my faja I purchased from my masseuse Mari Luz. I am beginning to feel more of my skin and incision. I’m still swollen, mostly on my back and lower stomach. I’m continuing massages here in Miami 2-3 per week. I’m eating lots of vegetables and fruits, fish, soups, salads. Drinking pineapple juice and water constantly. I still take ibuprofen before bed. I have been sleeping more hours at night. I guess since I’m busy all day my body is more tired. I do not nap but I find myself tired by 9pm. I’m sleeping about 10-12 hours. I also noticed breakouts on my face and body. I believe it may be all the medications trying to filter out of my body. I still can’t believe I operated only 4 weeks ago.
I'm planning on scheduling a rhinoplasty with Dr. Mejia once the quarantine is over. I absolutely love his afro rhinoplasties and am excited to see how things go!My main issue is the width of my nose and lack of bridge
I did a breast augmentation and rhino a few years ago with dr Juan Diego Mejia. I loved so much he’s so lovely gives all the attention you need even few months after any time you text him he’s there to help with any doubt. He’s the only one I go for any aesthetic surgery I need unless he don’t do what I want.About the results my nose was no pain, my breast a little bit cause I had a small breast but only put 300cc.
Did my rhinoplasty with Dr.Juan Diego Mejia almost 2 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been getting so many compliments on how perfect it came out. The process was so easy and pain free. Recommend 100%

Always wanted to be curvier and with being straight up and down my whole life. I decided to take the plunge. Last year had my butt augmentation and lipo section of the back fat transfer. Tomorrow it's on to 360 with my doctor Juan diego mejia. I couldn't ask for a more attentive surgeon and the results are awesome. It's a 50/ 50 relationship you need to work out and eat properly.
No, fat transfer to the face does not migrate. In my opinion, it is one of the safest, most natural ways to apply volume to the face.
You can transfer fat to pretty much anywhere. You need to have a good amount of donor fat to do so depending on what you want. However, patients need to understand that fat does not always take. Sometimes, the fat injected can dissapear even with the best doctor or the most precise technique.
3-6 months is a good time to wait to get fat transfer touch ups. By this time most of the swelling has gone down and you will know of you need more volume or not.
In reconstructive cases, Fat transfer is possible in a child. However, there are very few elective cosmetic surgeries that should be done in children (prominent ear correction, scar corrections etc). Fat transfer to the buttocks is not something that should be done on a 12 year old. As in any cosmetic surgery procedure It carries potential complication including fatal ones. Patients should be of adult age or near it to be able to understand what a procedure like this involves.
Botox is temporary but is the best option for the frown lines. Permanent fillers to the face are never recommended. fat is not permanent, it is long lasting but not permanent. Fat is an option in your case but you need to understand that the percentage of graft take is unpredictable. Some grafts take very well and others can disapear quickly after surgery. Botox every 4-6 months is your best bet.
