Revision Rib Cartilage Rhinoplasty - COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!!!!

In 2017, I had sought out a public surgeon to help fix my deviated septum which I had attained from a collision while playing sports when I was younger. This surgery failed and caused further breathing complications, whilst also leaving my nose unaesthetically pleasing. In 2019, I sought out another public surgeon to help fix my deviated septum and newly unesthetic nose. That surgery also failed, leaving me with further complications to my breathing and appearance. Because of this I spent the end half of 2020 narrowing down the best cosmetic surgeons in Melbourne who specialise in revision rhinoplasty as I could not afford any more mistakes. I narrowed it down to 10 private surgeons and from there looked at their reviews, bios and social media pages to try and narrow it down further. This led to 4 consultations with the leading private cosmetic surgeons in Melbourne. Peter Callan initially stood out from the rest. He was very honest in the potential outcomes of a surgery this complicated and wasn’t there to sell me anything. At the same time, he reassured me that my nose could be fixed and that he frequently performs revision rhinoplasties. He also showed me before/ afters of his work. Additionally, Peter asked the important questions and informed me of ways in which he could improve the functional and cosmetic aspects of my nose with the aid of a 3d model of my front and side profiles. This made it easier to see the vision Peter had in mind. After 2 consultations, Peter and I settled on a revision rhinoplasty procedure with the addition of rib graft to help support the nose. Although I was initially hesitant because of the costs and ‘no guarantees’ associated with a surgery of this magnitude, I’m glad to say I could not be happier with the results. Though I am still swollen (1 month post-surgery at this point), I cannot believe how good my nose is looking already and honestly could not recommend/ thank Peter Callan enough. Peter has changed my life for the better and after a difficult few years trying to fix my nose, I can finally say I have the nose I’ve always wanted. Also, a special thanks to Christine (practice manager) and Joyce (office manager) for always making me feel welcome and making this journey so much easier. I felt at ease every time I walked through that front door.
