Revision Rhinoplasty
I have had a long journey coming to meet Dr. Kim. I had my first initial rhinoplasty as a young kid and did not properly do my research. I did have a terrible feeling about the procedure, but just ignored my gut instinct and ended up very disappointed with the result.
I immediately wanted to "fix" and erase the traumatic experience so quickly that I decided to do my revision one year later with a so called "top" doctor that is highly advertised and supposed to be the best. Once again, I was impulsive and did a bit more research, but just because a doctor has many reviews in magazines or on IG, it does not make them highly skilled in my opinion.
After many years of feeling like the girl who people would mock for having the typical "nose job" look and difficulty breathing I decided to this time REALLY do my research. This meant spending hours looking at website reviews, comments, pictures, etc. My goal was to speak to actual patients who had gone through my same experience and come to find out there are too many!!
Each and every review I read and person I spoke with had nothing but kind things to say about Dr. Kim. They also had pictures to confirm their claims. After meeting with him in person for my consult, it solidified my conviction of finding the surgeon who could help me. I like how he was very explicit in what he would do, he did not seem like he was trying to sell me a deal which many will do and he was very patient in answering questions and making me feel comfortable. He also was honest that he may not deliver perfection which I thought was honorable. Some doctors tell you anything you want to hear to book a patient in my experience.
I truly believe Dr. Kim is an old school surgeon who takes extreme pride in his work and truly chose the specialty of rhinoplasty only so that he can be a master at it and share his talent with those who are in need.
Dr. Kim was very gentle and made me feel safe prior to my surgery in every possible way along with his staff. I'm only 6 days out and still very swollen, but I know that he has done a fantastic job with basically having to reconstruct my nose. I travelled a long way, but I believe I am finally at the end of my journey and can place this behind me.
