Great Experience - 3rd Revision
It’s been a long journey that led me to my third rhinoplasty with Dr.Oakley. When you come to someone with only so much to work with you can only be grateful that they take you on, because it really does only get more complicated with every revision. My nostril was collapsed, nose over projected, upturned and deviated from my first surgery and revision with a different doctor.
I truly believe that Dr.Oakley did the best he could with what he had to work with and I’ve learned to accept that life and ones face cannot be perfect. He has made it so I can live with my face again. I believe he understands the uniqueness of every face as he is an artist and I truly respect and thank him for his work. I have had many healing tears in this office and these days I am in a much better place with myself.
Some yearly fillers to help with a small shadow left from my first doctor also helps me feel better at the end of the day. My only regret is not going to this surgeon first because you can’t always undo the first bad surgery. Be so careful with who you choose and go to a reputable doctor such as this one.
When I was 21 I thought I would go to a cheaper and less experienced surgeon because I didn’t have much money and really wanted the surgery - Biggest mistake of my life. That mistake cost me so much emotional baggage, mental illness and even more money. Be careful with plastic surgery when you’re young, or help someone direct you to better choices to understand the long term cost.
