One year post op
Well, my nose did not turn out from Dr. Weinfeld the way I had hoped. At one yer post-op I met with him to discuss a plan. He agreed with me, my nose was still too wide, the tip was asymmetrical and looked strange from the front, and one of my nostrils was very messed up. He offered to revise my nose with no surgical fee for him, I would pay only to the facility and the anesthesiologist, which totaled approximately $2,000. Ultimately, I decided to consult other surgeons. I searched nationwide for someone to correct my nose. I settled on a surgeon and have have now had it corrected. I am very disappointed I had to go through all of this, spend this much money, and time healing. Ultimately, perhaps this provide the best outcome possible for me in the end. That said, Dr. W was kind through the process. I will note that last her he did a lower blepharoplasty on me when he did the revision surgery and that turned out great. Thank you to everyone for the support you provided to me on this site through our messages. It has been a tiring process and rough time. All has thankfully worked out on the end. :)
Well...
So it has been seven weeks since my surgery. I am trying not to freak out but my nose is still rather big at the tip. It also seems to have one nostril slightly more defined than the other and my nose can seem to bow out a bit on my profile. I met with Dr W on my one month post-op and he stated that my nose seemed bigger due to swelling. How desperately I hope he is right. Siiiiigh. I was told this when I had my original rhinoplasty and the swelling never really reduced. It was, what it was.
After reading all the reviews prior to my surgery, I was expecting for him to hit a home run. I would be dishonest if I didn’t say that I am a little disappointed so far. I hope that my disappointment turns to joy once the swelling subsides. As the healing continues, I will continue to update my post on my results, particularly for those of you who have messaged me directly on this site specifically regarding my experience with Dr. W.
Another point for everyone, keep in mind the cost of the surgery can be confusing. You basically have three bills. One from Dr W, one from the anesthesiologist, and one from Seton Medical Center. This wasn’t really explained to me very well by anyone and the entire process of billing is VERY dysfunctional on Setons’s part.
I’ll keep everyone updated with pics after a few more weeks. Thanks for your kind encouragement to those who have messaged me.

So far
I promised myself I would write a review here since RealSelf has been one of the only truly helpful guides helping me finding a plastic surgeon I can trust. I have a revision rhinoplasty and lower blepharoplasty scheduled for two days from now. If I said I wasn’t nervous I would be both lying and a crazy person. That said - Dr Weinfeld and his staff have been so VERY accommodating thus far.
My story is rather interesting, at least I think. For my first surgery, I was so concerned about finding the right doctor and hopefully avoiding any chance of a revision that I utilized a very famous, nationally recognized TV doctor, think VERY famous, for my first rhinoplasty. It was a very high-end experience, but the work turned-out much less than stellar. My hump was removed but a new different problem emerged, my nose was suddenly twice as wide as it was before and my tip very fat and bulbous after the surgery. I hoped it was swelling, it was not. The doctor offered for me to have a revision free of charge but my confidence with him was gone and I just couldn’t do it. I felt so defeated.
After literally over a decade of stewing on this and researching different doctors, I found Dr Weinfeld through this site and a couple of other reviews. His reviews have been so stellar and his before-and-after pictures so remarkable that I decided to book an appointment. My first and second appointment were very thorough and I found his questions and expectations to be realistic. Dr Weinfeld asked me questions, examined me, and provided a computer generated simulation of what my results would hopefully look like. I don’t want to look like someone else, just the best version of me I can be. I have also decided to undergo a lower blepharoplasty as I just hit the big 4-0 and I believe it is time to get a touch up below the eyes to address some sagging and wrinkles.
I will update this post once I am post-op with a detailed picture portfolio of my results. I have found that when someone only posts a pic or two, it can add more questions about a surgeon than answers, so I will document the process for everyone with many. I am hopeful of the coming days and am relieved that I am in the hands of such a skilled and polite surgeon. I highly suggest for anyone considering this procedure to look at his portfolio of procedures on his website as his work speaks for itself.
