Fantastic Doctor and Overall Experience

I'm a 41 year old man.... I lost weight/volume during COVID and noticed dark circles under my eyes as well as upper eyelid hollowness and some eye asymmetry. I did a ton of research on tear trough and upper eyelid filler. As this was my first time with any aesthetic treatment, I was specifically looking for a board certified facial plastic surgeon to work on me. There are many plastic surgeons who outsource their injectables to their nurses / PAs. I was looking for a plastic surgeon who does his own injections and stands by his work. I'm sure there are nurses and PAs who do a nice job, but I wanted a doctor with the training, education, and background of a Board Certified plastic surgeon. Dr. Yang is one of the only doctors in NYC who does upper eyelid filler. There are a few oculoplastic surgeons who do it, but I think Dr. Yang's work looks better. Anyways, the process started by booking a virtual consultation with Dr. Yang where he reviewed older photos of myself and showed me some of his work in the eye area. He spent about 75 minutes with me over Zoom, answered all of my questions, and never rushed or pressure me. The virtual consultation was free of charge. I did appreciate Dr. Yang spending that much time with me without charging me or pushing me into a procedure. I booked the procedure right after the call and had it done about a week later. His office is on the Upper East side and is super nice and clean. When meeting Dr. Yang, I found him to be relaxed and personable, not like some of these 'celebrity doctors'. When I got there, Dr. Yang examined me and took thorough before and after pictures. He explained the procedure and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed at any point. While he was doing the injections, his assistant, Mae was on a Zoom call with us. After each micro-injection, Dr. Yang noted the exact amount of filler and specific location where it was injected. I'm not sure if all providers do this, but I appreciated his thoroughness and attention to detail. I'd imagine if I gained weight or we ever needed to take the filler out for any reason with Hyaluronidase, this information would be useful. I could see the results right after the filler was applied and he only injected a very small amount at a time. In total, he injected 1 cc in my upper and lower eyelids. I am about 3 weeks since the injections and I'm very pleased with the results. The bags and darkness under my eyes are much improved. Additionally, my eyes are more symmetrical and I just look more rested. The results are subtle and natural and nobody can tell I had anything done. I did have some hyperpigmentation around my eyes that the filler is not able to correct, and Dr. Yang wrote me a prescriptions for Hydroquinone cream. This cream is actually seemingly improving my eye area even more. Overall, I'm very pleased I chose Dr. Yang and would highly recommend him for any facial injections. He's highly skilled, thorough, attentive to detail, and cares about his patients.
