I was interested in getting botox and tear trough injections. I saw Emily for a second opinion as I did not feel that the person I saw for my first consult was a "good fit". I did not see nor hear much confidence in her skills as she was very broad with her explanation of the process, it seemed to be more of a "we'll try this and we'll see what happens"; hence, she did not gain my trust (after all, it is my face we're dealing with here). When I saw Emily, however, OMG she was a breath of fresh air... a TRUE nurse and highly skilled professional, truly "class A"!! She took pictures of my face in different angles, she took her time in evaluating and assessing my face while being an excellent and active listener while keeping my concerns in mind. Every time I have seen her, she makes me feel like I am her ONLY and MOST important patient (this is a great thing). Just as a TRUE nurse is supposed to, she dictated my pasts procedures (done right there at Synergy) in my patient chart as it seemed there was no record of some of the procedures I have had; hence, now thanks to her there is a record of all the treatments I have gotten done at your facilities. I suffered from adult onset acne since I was 15 yrs. old (I am 34 now) and it has been a true battle, so I have spent quite a bit of $$ at Synergy on laser treatments, Vampire facial, you name it. It was truly great that not only was she attentive with my injection requests or that consult (fillers and botox) but she also cared enough to make suggestions when I asked "what treatment do you recommend for melasma and scarring left from my acne, so she helped me come up with a plan on how to improve my skin texture and tone. :) Back to the botox and fillers. This was my first time getting botox and she nailed it. I still have movement in my eyebrows, which I wanted, and I am very pleased with the results (I am officially hooked on botox). We did not proceed with the tear trough injections but did a bit of cheek filler instead because I had a dipped in line pretty much in the middle of my cheek, which made me look very very tired. While she was injecting my right cheek, she clearly asked me to breath in and out each time she injected, but I think I psyched myself out and held my breath a few times. Minutes later I say to her "Am I supposed to feel dizzy" and then my arms got week and fell to the sides of my body, my face felt as if though all of the blood drained from it in like 1 second. She CALMLY immediately took action (calm is good because if she freaks out, ill freak out even more haha), she elevated my legs and tilted the chair so that my head was below my waist. Once she saw that I was gaining strength and looked better, she got me water and a snack (her mama instincts definitely kicked in). Again, a true professional, something like an ER nurse :) It has now been 2 weeks since my botox and cheek fillers and OMG I am loving my face. Both money well spent, but the cheek fillers take the gold. I never thought I would see those indented lines gone, and they are gone for sure... $1400 well spent, a GREAT investment on myself :). Emily did a FANTASTIC job with the injections and I will be sticking with ONLY her for injections. She is a sweet caring PROFESSIONAL TRUE Nurse... making us all more beautiful one injection at a time :) .... This review only allows 5 starts, but I would rate her with 7 if I could!!!!
