Looking for help and some expert advice. I underwent a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in 2011 and have lost a little over 100lbs. Despite the weightloss I still have a large amount of skin and fat in my mid section. I am considering a tummy tuck to help remove the hanging skin but not sure if the typical vertical incision will help target the large amount of skin and fat above my navel. Based on the attached photos, can an expert please make recomendations on the procedure that would best suit my needs.
Thank You.

Actually, BECAUSE of the weight lost you have excess skin. That is not fat.

Im not sure its just excess skin, becsuse although it hangs, it doesnt feel "empty" if that makes any sense. There is definately a large amount of tissue which is very heavy. Congrats on your weight loss :)

I am an absolute ball of emotions. One minute Im super excited thinking of how great Im going to feel not having this huge hanging belly and the next minute Im terrified and thinking about my two small boys and what would happen to them if I never make it back to them. I pray and have Faith in God that he will be with me and bless me with a safe procedure. I thinks its normal to feel this way and despite the fear I am looking forward to living my life with more confidence. I lost 100 lbs and its like i havent because all this lose skin i have left over still negatively effects my confidence level. I literally broke down in tears the other day while working out. My huge saggy belly gets in the way and I cant even do crunches or situps. Looking
Dr. Carlos Lopez Collado will be performing my fleur de lis tummy tuck, bbl and lipo on my back on 9/11. Ive done a great deal of eesearch on him. He is a board certified surgeon with no cases of malpractice or casualties thank God. I skyped with him a few weeks ago because I just needed some sort of interaction with him and ask him some questions before taking the plunge and heading out to DR. His assistant Johanna has been so helpful and answers any questions I have in a decent time frame.

I am also having ps in DR and I too have crazy emotions about the worst happening to me. To the point that I've made sure all my life insurance are clear . it's crazy but we cannot control these negative thoughts. All we can do is leave it on God hands. My surgery is scheduled October 7. Keep us posted . thanks for sharing your journey.

I totally understand your fears. I have 3 small kids under the age of 6 and the thought of me not making it back to them popped in my head several times.
I'm certain we'll be fine as long as we get a board certified surgeon.
You're going to look fabulous!!!
