48 yr old Neck and Facelift Under Local Anesthesia

Hello everyone, I am having my procedure June 10, 2019. I wanted to share my before pictures so that after my procedure I can share my progress with everyone! I have found everyone’s reviews so helpful! I greatly appreciate it!
So current feelings are of extreme excitement but I am also feeling very nervous! I have never had a week fly by like this one has lol.
It gives me peace thought knowing I am thankfully with the best doctor and staff!! Dr. Z is so nice and took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. His staff from the minute you walk in the door are so warm and welcoming, it walk like waking into my own families house! I had the best feeling in this world from the start of my appointment to the end.
I have been thinking about having this procedure done for a few years, because I am so self conscience about my neck, jowels, and my marionette lines. I was of course researching doctors and before and after pictures for a very long time. It has helped me so much and because of that, I hope my journey and results will be helpful to anyone out there that is thinking about having this procedure done.

Hi everyone.
Yesterday the surgery went very well, I arrived at the surgery center I was given medication orally and one dose through my IV. I waited about 30 minutes after that and I was brought to the surgery room. It was spotless. I at that point didn’t even feel Dr. Z numb me. I woke myself up by snoring lol! Besides that I did not feel any pain or discomfort at all. I honestly did not even remember the drive home lol. I was wrapped up and I had two drains in, I looked like something out to the movie A Bugs Life hahah.
I went into the house right to sleep for about 5 hours. When I woke up I was in pain, I took pain medicine and then I felt fine in about 30 mins. Note ( you have to eat with the meds or they will make you feel sick to your stomach). Buy broths, jello, mashed potatoes etc. because it does hurt to eat.
Have a few good pillows so that you can elevate your head comfortably.
This morning 6-11 I went for my follow up,
They removed the drains and gave me a different wrap for my head to wear for the next 7 days. I asked about my stitches and Dr. Z told me that they dissolve I think that is that’s so great!!
One more thing I would like to tell you all is, I feel pressure on the sides of my heads nothing is wrong, it’s from the wrap they put on my head. I just want to make sure I am telling everyone the details.

Today I am feeling pain, and I am swollen! As expected, I put a very light ice compress on the side of my neck.
It’s helping me a lot! I’m excited for the coming days to see what I look like once the swellings goes down! Everything looks great so far!! Thank you Dr. Z
