Provider Review
This review is long overdue. I had a primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Moynihan back in 2009. I had a very nice natural nose, I simply felt it was too long for my face. I wanted a small tweak to shorten the length. Little did I know how much this procedure would change my nose, my face and my confidence. I am not comfortable with sharing photos as I am very private about this matter (which is why I've never written a review to begin with), but the surgery left my nose wide and rounded at the tip. It looked absolutely nothing like my natural nose which was narrow and pointed. I used to love having my picture taken and was overall a very confident person. I wish I had known that seeking perfection would lead to devastating results. Several years later, I had another surgeon in Chicago perform a revision, which was equally as disastrous. I have lived with an ugly nose for 8 years now. I remember Dr. Moynihan saying in passing that I had a nice nose. I wish he'd not agreed to operate on me, but I guess he's got to make a living. If you are considering rhinoplasty, I encourage you to think long and hard if it is what you really want to do. It is a difficult procedure and the results can be horrific. I also encourage you to do your research and consult with MANY surgeons, which is something I failed to do both times. I am now seeking a second revision, which will hopefully be my last. I am prepared to travel if I need to. I have been mildly and sometimes severely depressed ever since I had this surgery because I no longer look like myself. Every time I look in the mirror or look at a photo of myself, I am reminded of my stupid decision.
