WORTH IT
I visited two other well-known PS's in Melbourne prior to meeting with Dr. O for a consult. I knew at our first meeting that he was "the one". He has an easy rapport and genuine concern for his patients. His level of compassion combined with his excellent skill set makes him an awesome clinician. One thing in particular that I was looking for was knowledge of current best practices and new techniques. I believe Dr. O has a true passion for these areas. Being a nurse, I see far too many physicians that lose their ability to connect with their patients and forget their patients are instilling their trust in them to provide the best possible option. I can't see this changing with Dr. O, as his empathy and interest in his field appear inherent. He has been open and approachable every step of the way, both pre and post operatively. He took ownership of the complete experience which gave me great confidence in him. If you have any questions or concerns and would like to speak with me I am more than happy to talk to you. Ask the office to contact me, my initials are GK. Dr. O told me I would be happy with the results and he was right, it is life changing. His office folks, Teresa and Nicole, have been great to work with too. Thank you Dr. O for everything.

51 Yrs Old, Finally Did It, Wish I Had Done It Sooner.
Like many who have posted before, I wish I had done this sooner. I feel like a different person. It is so different to not wake up to daily neck, shoulder and back pain. I am six weeks post op and am buying new clothes and loving it. People tell me how much thinner I look despite not having lost any weight other than the breast weight. I filled all of my scripts before the surgery but did not feel comfortable taking narcotics so only took Extra Strength Tylenol after. I went from a 38G to probably a 38C, still won't know for awhile. I had very little true pain, just discomfort afterwords. My stitch line remained sensitive for a few weeks and I was really tired in the beginning. I returned to work after two weeks. Even at six weeks I can still tell when I overdue it and I usually have to spend the next day taking it easy, but this is nothing compared to lugging around all the extra boobage that I had before. I was only a little nervous the day of surgery because I felt like after all the time I had wanted it, I was going through with this no matter what and I deserved to feel better about myself.
I would love to add your experience to the Breast Reduction community, but it would be helpful if you could provide some more detail about your experience with your procedure/treatment. I suggest adding before and after photos - optional of course, so that other community members can use your review as a guide throughout their journey.
