One month Post Op

I saw Dr O. yesterday and got a good report card. Everything is healing well and the incisions look great, very smooth and just a little red. I have been instructed to lightly massage the incisions twice a day. I have been cleared to begin working out again which is great, and I know that I need to listen to my body and not push things! I have also been cleared to wear regular bras, so I will begin by "breaking them in" and wear them for shorter durations to see how they feel on me. I don't want anything rubbing on the incision right now and I don't think I'd be comfortable in anything that really pushes on the new girls!
I had been shopping for new bras last week and based on the measurements at the store I'm a 34 DDD, however I was not able to find any wirefree bras in that size, so I tried on a 36DD and hooked it tight. This seemed to fit, but I was surprised at how challenging it was to find "cute" bras in the larger cup sizes. Prior to the revision I was a small 36C and I had lots of bra options, now I'll have to work a little harder in finding the cute bras but it was worth it. I now feel like my boobs suit the rest of my frame!

Time to Update 27year Old Implants

I felt it was time to update my old implants so I did my research and found Dr. Oppenheimer. Going in to surgery we weren't sure what condition the old implants would be in. Fortunately for me the right was still intact, however the left had ruptered but it was contained within the capsule. Dr. O. did his magic and removed the old capsules and inserted the new implants! I am so happy and relieved to have new and improved implants, plus they look great!

Post Op - Day #16

Still healing but I feel great, just anxious to be able to start "doing" things again. At my one week post-op appointment I had my sutures removed and Dr. O said everything looked really good. Dr. O. mentioned to us that he had removed the old scar tissue (from the first BA) and the new incision was doing great. He then asked if I wouldn't mind having steri-strips reapplied over the incision, which of course I didn't. I'm assuming this may help in the recovery of the incision sight, or have some other benefit with the healing of the scar. My husband said the incisions look great and I'll take his word for that. I'm anxious to start shopping for new bras, however I'm staying in the sports/surgical bras until I get the clearance / go ahead to move into a conventional bra.

I know I was nervous, initially going into this revision, however after getting to work with Dr. Oppenheimer and his staff I knew I was in great hands, and I could leave everything up to him and stop worrying! I know I'm only a little more then two weeks post op, but so far everything has gone great, no issues with nausea, pain, range of motion hasn't been an issue all is well!

I have attached a few more pictures which show the girls now.

Dr. O is a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work. He wants you to be happy and works with you to make sure this is accomplished. His technique/touch is phenomenal, I was astounded that I never needed to take the pain medication, not even a Tylenol àfter surgery. I had to remind myself that I just had surgery as to not over do things. His staff has been very caring and understanding off all our questions! I'm very happy we found Dr. Oppenheimer he is a gem!
