My cousin encouraged me to do it...found out that it was needed to get done. I had a pronounce Middle Eastern/black nose. With the help of makeup and practicing my angles for pics I could camouflage my nose. So I went to the PS to see if I was able to achieve most of my looks in pics that I like of myself. I had confidence in the PS because he did a lot of ppl I knew. I really like his end results! However, I wasn't ready for the changes my nose is going through...but a lot ppl say give it some time your nose will change. I feel like I'm in an ugly duckling stage. Everyone said I look like a totally different person. I think I'm having buyer's remorse and afraid my nose won't like what I requested.

Thanks for sharing. What did you have done to your nose? Do you have nasal implants? Did you have an open or closed rhinoplasty?

Had had open Rhinoplasty, ear graft for a more defined tip, and bone shaved down to remove the bone bump.

How long before they had you go back to remove the stitches? Great result, btw.

I have to agree you look very different. But I'll add, you look so so beautiful! I love your new nose. I'd be happy with this result in my own nose in 2 weeks. I understand its not what u pictured but I like it better! So cute. Pretty. Feminine! And u have lots of swelling so give some time.

Thank you kpeton. I don't feel as attractive as I did with the desired look (done by wearing makeup and tons of practice in the mirror) lol I personally think I won't fall in love with my new nose until the tip goes down. I've been hiding myself from people that know me because there is a drastic change in my appearance.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience so far. I agree that you look really different, but also really pretty and still quite swollen. I hope it subsides soon so you don't feel you have to hide out. Please keep us posted as you continue to heal.

I remember I had that fear too, I looked at myself and all I could say was "that's not me" but give it some more time and when the swelling goes down a little bit more I think you'll get your dream results :) However, I think you look precious, even with the swelling I can see a big improvement :)

from personal experience, i think you're in the healing phase though because my nose looked so small and pinched for about three months and now that i'm one year post op, my nose doesn't look good or defined anymore. it's almost similar to my old nose i was trying to get rid of and i'm considering another rhinoplasty.

Healing Process

So I've finally shown my friends and family...they don't recognize me. I was told I look like a completely different person. The swelling is going down. I won't say I'm happy with my nose right now but I am feeling better than I was at first. I'm hoping my tip will go down and my nostrils will flare just a tad cause right now I looked pinched. Ironically, I can smell everything.

Reading your review reminded me of my experience in the beginning stages of recovery. I hated my results and felt so ugly. My mom told me I looke like a complete different person and she didn't like it and everyone who saw me around that time could tell I had my nose done, I was so depressed. But guess what??? I am now about 4 months post-op and my nose now looks nothing like it did at 2-4 weeks post. It looks so much better! I also had the pinched, upturned tip look and now that about 80% of swelling has subsided my nose has gone down tremendously and I love it. So with that being said Just be patient it gets better girly. Just forget about your nose, don't look into mirrors and next thing you now at your 2 month mark you will see a better result and it only gets much better from there :)

While you look different, you are still YOU. It is just a nose. If a car accident had burned off a portion of your face you would still be the same you. That said, your appearance IMO is greatly enhanced. You look more feminine, soft, and pretty. It's a good change, and as the swelling goes down you will surely love it more and more. congrats!
