I highly recommend Dr. Keshav Magge, his colleagues, and support staff at Cosmetic Surgery Associates in Bethesda, MD! I never thought that I'd have any type of cosmetic surgery but after seeing my jawline during a video presentation, I immediately started looking for solutions to my sagging chin/neck. (I'm in my late 40s and it was making me look 10+ years older! Plus my chin was an issue that had bothered me my entire adult life!) After consultations with several different practices, I opted for a mini-facelift with Dr. Keshav Magee at Cosmetic Surgery Associates (CSA) and I couldn't be happier with this decision. When I first went for a consultation at CSA, I was hoping that one of the new injectable products would tighten up my chin/neck. Katharine (a nurse practitioner at CSA) told me that I wouldn't be happy with anything short of a mini-facelift. She asked me if my chin looked like this for most of my life and explained that it really wasn't a double chin but rather extra skin - something genetic - and that the only solution was to surgically tighten the area. (She also noted that the skin would only continue to sag as I aged.) It was really liberating to hear that this was a genetic issue. Even though I've always been a normal weight, I've always had this sagging chin. [As a 20-something I nearly starved myself (to no avail) trying to "lose" my chin!] I did a little research and found that Katharine was right. The injectables don’t address extra skin or sagging skin. The best solution to this problem was a mini-facelift. After reading about mini-facelifts and meeting with Dr. Magee I was convinced that this was the right option for me and that he was the surgeon I wanted to complete the procedure. Dr. Magee worked with my schedule, even postponing my surgery once, to make sure that I'd be able to meet my work and family obligations. Each time I met with him (first consultation, pre-op, and day of the operation, and follow-ups), he took time to answer any questions that I had. The office is super-efficient and everyone is extremely pleasant. I also met with Katharine several times and each time I was impressed by her knowledge and thoroughness. What I love about the decision to have a mini-facelift is that although the results are profound, I still look like me. People ask me if I've lost a little weight or if I did something different with my hair. Some have noted that I look more relaxed (which I think is because I look younger). No one has suggested that I look completely different or even that I had surgery! The results are perfect and as I noted above, I couldn't be happier!
