Surgery update. will post pics soon.

I arrived in Korea and had an in person consultation with Dr. Barn, it was not very long and he told me how much lifting I can expect and also suggested that I get Artecoll injections - up to about 4 units, then said we can start with 2 units then see how it goes.
He was absolutely busy, seemed to be everywhere and in high demand. The lady who helped me with a pre consultation was the most helpful and useful, she made me decide on what procedure to go along with.
I opted for a lower lift only and felt comfortable with my decision. I was to return 4 days later for the surgery.

On the surgery day, I arrived on time at 12pm, changed and waited for the surgery. However, the Dr. was running way behind & I began to panic. I was finally in the operating room at 3pm, in tears from the stress of waiting aimlessly, this was not ok. The nurses put me to sleep right away as I was upset and I did not see the Dr. come in. For all I know, someone else could have come in. (I am sure they didn't but it did cross my mind). Dr. B was due to leave for a vacation the very next day so I knew I would not see him until about 2 wks later.

Waking up from surgery, the nurses weren't gentle, she tapped me pretty strongly to wake up and I was taken to the hospital room for the night. I was nauseous for about a day and a half, could not eat, was wrapped in bandages but the pain was very manageable.

Moved to their guest house the next afternoon around 3, the guest house is about half a block from the hospital and generic - looks a little like jail without windows, the bed was not comfortable and there was a TV, if you can, stay somewhere else. I was booked to stay for a week but left after 2 nights.

I looked like a lollypop, a complete circle for about a week, had the bandages removed on the 3rd day and started taking medicine that was prescribed, the hospital takes cash and buys the meds and brings the meds and change. I was largely on my own except for the hyperbaric chamber oxygen treatments. I received 4 of these and they seemed to help a lot. I did buy deswelling medicine to drink and returned to get some stitches removed on day 7. Then the final appointment was 13 days after surgery. By this time, swelling had gone down significantly, people who don't know me wouldn't have known I was swollen.

At the final meeting, all stitches were taken out and I got to see Dr. Barn for 2 minutes. He is so busy it was impossible to ask questions. He suggested Artecoll again, then left.
Banobagi was packed with people and I opted not to get Artecoll at this time as I knew I'd be sitting around for maybe hours waiting for Dr. Barn.

I look like I have a filter on my face & I am pleased with the shape of my face. I will post more to update my deflation progress.

Facelift Banobagi

This review to bring detailed information and transparancy of my experience at Banobagi Seoul, Korea that is about to happen.

After a lengthy research, I have an in person consultation with Dr. Barn in October. If I proceed, the surgery will happen 2-3 days after the consultation. The clinic's recommended stay in Korea is 2 weeks for a mid and lower facelift.

I decided on this clinic after many other online consultations, online reviews, Banobagi doctor's videos and information, & after connecting with a real patient of Dr. Barn's.
Online English consultation is frustrating. It took about a month due to the time difference but mostly as they replied with tidbits of partial answers and not locking down dates nor letting me know FAQ info and process up front. It would be helpful for them to make an online appointment in person like other clinics I researched.

I sent several photos and they recommended certain surgeries and the price points.
I made a consultation with a downpayment of around $750.

Meanwhile, I am still asking questions online about the car service, hotel, after care, and the timeline. I am still puzzled as to why their English team seems so disorganized. More soon...
