Bad Fat Transfer and Bad Bbl
Before I go any further i would like to tell the all of you out there who have increasingly high expectations, please manage them well and do extensive research into this before committing the time and your financial resources. As it stands though and despite my own very thorough research and much necessary readings, I still ended up having a the result, which is far from satisfactory.
2 year waiting game and not to mention out of pocket i feel deflated and disappointed. I will let the images that i share here, do the talking. I also want to say that prior to the surgery, which was actually carried out in the Cadogan clinic, i had preliminary consultations with Mr Tillo and he was very pleasant and reassuring, i also want to thank the anaesthesiologist, who was most accommodating to my specific needs.
Unfortunately my fat transfer to the buttocks area didn't take well at all and after having visited various other specialists in Harley street all of them in turn compelled that it was not a well done procedure at all. Though I was advised by Mr Tillo that the secondary surgery BBL may come out with a better result, and with further spending I was reluctant to go through with that already being quite scared and without any guarantees. The worst part of the whole experience is that my abdomen has been completely deformed and I since, have been advised by a high calibre specialist in the field to have NOT ONE but TWO potential reconstructive abdominal surgeries.
Even after 2 years my abdomen skin feels tight and i have a pulling sensation, which I have had since the surgery. Back in after the surgery when I informed the doctor and the nurse they both indicated that it was normal. But i learnt later otherwise and the pulling sensation never left. No amount of lymphatic drainage massages help either! In fact i was advised by other doctors that when the lipo is done aggressively and badly done no matter how many massages you have it would still result in what i ended up having! That's the the result of my lipo with Mr Tillo unfortunately :(
To be more specific: I now have excess skin over the supra umbilical area and severe contour irregularities. There is not sufficient skin to re-drape the tissue with a full abdominoplasty and the best way forward would be to carry out mechanical liposuction to initially release the skin from the underlying fascia, i was recommended the Renuvion treatment in order to tighten the skin, which basically means another 15k to come up with. (bearing in mind i am still paying the finance on the procedure that effectively botched my abdomen) and didnt give me the desired outcome to my buttocks. So the BBL apparently resulted in about only 15% fat that survived (and that is with me having an impeccable diet, no alcohol and non smoker) I followed the guidelines and precautions so duly and even instead of 6 weeks recommended by the doctor sleeping on the front, use the BBL pillow etc i did for nearly 3 months!!! I attach the images 5 months post the surgery and the most recent 2 weeks ago. I now cannot wear a bikini as my abdomen looks terrible, i have uneven buttocks without a moderate roundness I initially desired and i have this fold over my belly button, which is so obvious and its like the skin got glued between the layers which causes feeling of tightness all the time....
I felt i wanted to share my story to all who might find it useful and wish everybody good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with the results — this is never the outcome we hope for. I appreciate your kind words about the consultation process and the care provided by our anaesthetist. However, it’s clear that the final outcome did not meet your expectations, and I understand how upsetting that must be after investing your time, trust, and resources. Fat transfer and liposuction are procedures that carry a degree of unpredictability — in both fat survival and how the skin and tissues respond. As a surgeon, I can control the technique, shaping, and safety, but this only accounts for about a third of the overall outcome. The remaining variables include factors outside of surgical control, such as adherence to post-op care, use of qualified lymphatic therapists, consistent compression, and avoidance of pressure on grafted areas. Even when care is followed diligently, outcomes can still vary due to individual biological factors such as: • Age, skin elasticity, and collagen quality • Hormonal profile, immune response, and metabolism • Genetic predisposition to scarring or fat resorption Liposuction may also result in fibrosis or contour irregularities, especially in patients with reduced skin elasticity. These are recognised risks and can sometimes require revision or supportive treatments to address. I respect your decision not to pursue further procedures, but if you're open to it, I would be happy to review your case and explore any suitable reconstructive or non-surgical options. I genuinely value you taking the time to reflect on your experience — it’s a reminder that even with the best intentions and careful planning, outcomes can still vary. Sharing this helps others better understand the realities of surgery and the importance of seriously considering potential risks and complications.
