Labiaplasty with clitoral hood reduction - trim method
Labiaplasty with Clitoral Hood Reduction
I had been thinking about getting this procedure done since I was 12. I am now 28. I had it done 1.5 hours away from me, no pain medication because I needed to drive myself home afterwards. I had extra numbing shots before my drive home. Felt fine when I got home (completely numb) and immediately laid down, elevated and iced every hour for 10-15 mins.
Felt fine, minimal pain. Approximately 3 hours later I got up to use the restroom. After using the spray bottle to clean off the wound and pat it dry, while still sitting on the toilet, in a split second I immediately felt dizzy, lightheaded, my vision went completely black, had ringing in my ears, and started excessively sweating. This lasted for about a minute or two until I was able to regain my vision and I quickly changed my pad and went back to bed.
I am terrified. This seems like an extreme side effect that no one seems to have mentioned in their reviews post-op. Considering contacting my surgeon although it is Friday night and the office is closed all weekend.

Starting to get nervous because my labial lips are black and blue in some areas. Hoping this is just normal bruising. The incision sites still feel hard from the sutures. I was never looking to be perfect, just to get rid of the bulge in underwear and bathing suites.
Posting before pictures and one of how it looks like today. Hoping this is normal at this point!

I have a lot of dried blood around my incisions that wont come off while cleaning and I am too afraid to rub it. It looks deformed and black and blue. I called my surgeons patient coordinator whom I have been in contact with throughout this entire process and she assured me my healing was normal. I had also resurfacing done to smooth out wrinkles on my clitoral hood so that is what that huge black scab is. Hoping the rest is indeed just black scabbing or dried blood and not nercosis...

I truly believe you just need more time. We’re all here for you!
Have you been mostly on bed rest these past two weeks?

Of course this could have happened to us for different reasons, but if you’ve been laying down most of the day, and then get up (especially if it’s suddenly), this can cause a rapid drop in blood pressure which can cause you to feel extremely faint and can lead to passing out. (I’m actually a nurse, so I was aware of what was happening to me). Try to change from horizontal to upright positions very slowly.
Additionally, if you were slightly dehydrated, that can exacerbate the issue.
Either way, it’s a very scary feeling and I hope it doesn’t happen again!
