WORTH IT$3,900
I’ve been wanting to get a labiaplasty for YEARS (because I was self conscious of how it looked, and b/c of slight discomfort), and I’m finally making enough money to the point where I was able to comfortably pay for the procedure and take a few weeks off of work. I was so nervous at first, but also very excited to see how it would turn out. I did all of my research: what to expect for the healing process, how to keep everything clean, etc. but I was still scared to have the procedure done. I’ll talk more about the procedure in the next post.

The Surgery
catlover488June 28, 2018
I did so much research into this surgery, and thought that I would feel prepared when the time came. Unfortunately this was not the case at all.
When I got there they asked if I had a ride home, and I told them that I would be taking a Lyft. Since I wasn’t being driven by someone that I know, they couldn’t give me the anti-anxiety meds (which I totally understand but it still sucked). They took me to a room where they put numbing cream on- 3 applications total. After that they took me into the main operating room, injected me w/ a needle for more numbness (couldn’t feel anything at that point), and started the surgery.
Afterwards they suggested that I go to a pharmacy around the corner to pick up my prescription antibiotics and pain killers. This is where all of the bad stuff starts happening. I was told that the pharmacist had just gone to lunch and wouldn’t be back for 45 minutes. I decided to get back in the Lyft, and my stitches popped. I was in so much pain, and I ended up bleeding all over my Lyft driver’s LIGHT COLORED CLOTH SEATS. It was such a terrible experience, and I was charged $150 for him to fix the seat.
When I got home the bleeding was still terrible and the pain was some of the worst that I’ve ever felt. I couldn’t even lay down comfortably. My boyfriend left work to take me back to my plastic surgeon’s office, and I was crying and hyperventilating so bad that they finally gave me anti-anxiety meds and a norco (which helped a LOT). My surgeon had to drain the incision and stitch me back up- the whole process was terrible. I could barely sit, stand, or lay down without feeling searing pain.
Once the surgery was done, I went home and ended up feeling much better. Draining blood from the incision helped sooo much.

Day 1 Post Op
catlover488June 28, 2018
After the second surgery to fix the popped stitches, I actually felt pretty good. I stayed in bed all day for the first day after the surgery, kept taking my arnica pills (to decrease swelling & bruising) and antibiotic pills, & kept applying my antibiotic cream. Didn’t have to take any of my pain pills. I had an appetite, peeing wasn’t a problem (I’m still nervous about the eventual sting that everyone talks about when peeing- I have a spray bottle ready for when the time comes), and my doctor says that everything is healing properly now. :)
