I finally realized I needed to somehow get rid of this double chin that I gained due to my birth control I was on for two years! I decided to look into Kybella injections, did my research and came to the conclusion that I did not need to travel far for perfect results thank god! I found this place called Luxurgery in New York City and sent an email in regards to Kybella. I was soon given a call, asked a few questions & was ready to book my appointment! I was sent two forms to fill out and send back via e-mail which covers the basics and a few honest questions for safety protocol. I absolutely can not wait for my procedure and will definitely be keeping you guys up to date on before and after pictures as well as how I thought hospitality was. I will also provide the providers exact name once I get further details!

So let’s get right into it on my way home. I arrived at the building, was warmly greeted and waited for the doctor. I was told this was a consultation but I would be able to get my shots today if I agree to move forward. Which I was ready to since I traveled from NJ and had to leave work early. I had my consultation and of course, I was a good candidate. If you are looking to get one round of kybella, do NOT do it.. 2 or 3 rounds are required for the full results. The doctor told me I would also need some injections on the side of my neck to make my jawline chisel and add more structure. I’m scared of needles so I was already nervous.. they cleaned my under neck area with an alcohol pad and then drew on me with some markers. There was also a sticker placed to better guide the doctor where the exactly the shots should be injected. I was injected with about 10 needles to numb the whole under area. This hurt just along the right and left side but the pain was bearable. I was given a breast implant to squeeze lol. Well needed. I was told the worst part was over but definitely not! After this, I was given a ice pack to wrap around my neck and waited about 7 minutes. The doctor came back in and injected the kybella shots which I didn’t feel the needles at all. What I did feel; was a tightening sensation each time and then slowly my jaw started to lock. It felt like an instant headache or toothache, a bad one! This was the worst part. I don’t know why I kept holding my breath.. but I was told not to. Next thing I knew I was done. The injections itself was only about 3 minutes long. The headache lasted me for about 25 minutes all together.. I gained a lot of saliva in my mouth and it hurt to swallow. An hour later, it feels like my tonsils have been removed (guessing because I never got them removed) but the inside of my mouth feels shut. I was told not to eat anything salty, do not drink or smoke this weekend (today is Thursday) and that I will be swollen for about a week but to put ice packs and I also bought a cream from their office to help. My follow up is 4 weeks away.. since next weekend the doctor won’t be in town. I will keep you guys updated for sure, but as of now.. I’m regretting this!

So, it’s been three whole days since I got the kybella injections. My neck is no longer sore, however it is still swollen but that is expected. I am anticipating my true results by next week! The doctor suggested spots underneath my neck can be covered with makeup and will soon disappear as well.
