ABOUT ME: I am 51 and have had sculpture twice...
WORTH IT
ABOUT ME: I am 51 and have had sculpture twice before with a derm in another state. After doing some research here, I decided on him based upon his credentials and reviews.
PROCEDURE: There's lots of punctures, so if you bruise easily, prepare for downtime. I asked him to insert needles via the side cheeks instead of front to avoid obvious bruising because I bruise badly, and he acquiesced.
BEDSIDE MANNERS: I started to feel nauseous during the procedure (2nd cheek), and he was quite accommodating: he stopped to allow me time to lie down, and he offered me water/carbonated beverage to help calm my stomach. He resumed after my nausea passed. I do have a hyperglycemia, so I often get this feeling; I don't think it was at all related to the procedure or technique. I don't remember if I had eaten breakfast that morning, and that probably is what caused it.
POST PROCEDURE: I had a lot of swelling over the following 2-3 days, but the bruising was minimal. I didn't have this amount of swelling the previous two times, but it was a minor inconvenience since I had planned for the downtime.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER: There's lots of massaging that has to occur over the course of a full week with this procedure, and it hurts, so be prepared. Don't expect to see results for several months (after the swelling subsides). I've found this lasts about two years for me.
SATISFACTION: I am happy with the results; my cheeks are full but not overly done. If I don't find another physician closer, I will go back to him.

How many times did you go? My doc is recommending 3 sessions, a month apart. Also, what was your cost per vial? Thanks so much! You look amazing! Hope mine come out that good!

This was one session. I'd done this twice between, each two years apart with one vial/one session each time. Good luck!

Hello, I will be looking into this when I move to Texas but I wanted to ask you , do you have other injectables also with this? For example botox or others...or no need..

I don't, but others may get multiple procedures done. This takes a while to inject, so I'm not sure if a provider would want to schedule more than this at one appt.

before or after pic?????

The after pic is posted at the top of this review, but I've had it done for several years now, so I don't think a 'before' would be revealing of how I look without it since the previous sculptra was probably still there.

Great info, thanks for sharing!
