Beyond my Most Ambitious Expectations

I’ve wanted to do this procedure for years but held back because I was so scared of getting botched or something going wrong. After doing a ton of research, I decided to go with Dr. Richardson and his team. That was one of the best decision I made this year.

Not only did the incredible nurses Jessica and Julie ease and prepare me for the operation, but Dr. Richardson and his team did an incredible job informing me before hand, caring for me on the day of the procedure and in the week after the operation. During the procedure I was in general anesthesia and did not feel a thing. When he took off the bandages the next day, I wanted to cry- it was a million times better than I could have ever imagined. I no longer had that awkward inward slope that gave me the appearance of a receding hairline. In the week following the procedure the team stayed in constant contact with me, and Dr. Richardson called me twice just to check up on me. I took off my sutures today and they gave me three months of complementary viviscal pro to prevent shock hair loss, as well as a follow up appointment to check on me in a few weeks. I could not have asked for a more empathetic and professional experience. I will update you guys with pictures in a few months when the scar heals!

Alright after 8 months its time for an update. My forehead looked amazing around two months after the surgery. At the beginning my experience was that it was a little gooey. That was easy to disguise while going out, but it didn’t feel or look like it does now. I do not have any surgery scars. I try lifting my hair and looking for my surgery scar and I literally cannot find it. I will say that i do have slight thinning on my right and left temple but no one not even my mom has noticed this. A big concern for me was a persistent itching sensation that lasted well into the 6 month mark. I am a first year medical student, so I am positive my stress might have somehow contributed to this because i notice when i was on vacations the itching was significantly reduced.

At the 8 month mark the itching is barely present anymore. I will update on this again in a few months.

Guys, I was so hesitant to do this. But this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Dr. Richardson keeps telling you “dont have unrealistic expectations etc etc etc” but this is literally the forehead of my dreams. He is an incredibly talented surgeon, and I would trust him with my face as well as that of my loved ones.
