So since I've been obsessed with this web site for the last couple months and it has helped me to better know what I should expect, I thought I should share my journey too! Hopefully my profile will help someone the way all of yours have helped me. I've been married 6 years, and always wanted to have a BA after I had kids. Well, we have done multiple fertility treatments over that last few years and still no luck. So my husband and I decided, why wait, lets do it now and enjoy them while we are young. I haven't told many people just because it's something between my husband and I, and I don't really want to hear their comments of, why I should wait until after kids or why they think it's not a good idea. It is something I've always wanted so we are going to do it! Currently I wear 32C push up bras from Victorias Secret. I'm so excited for the day that I can wear a demi bra without any padding and feel comfortable and womanly. And it'll also be nice to be able to wear a sports bra and not have my chest just about disappear. We went in for a consult about a month ago and tried sizers in and have decided we like 400-450 CC's, Ultra high profile (because my rib cage is so narrow), smooth silicone, under the muscle, inframammary incision (under breast), which will hopefully give me a 32DD or DDD. I have a small frame so I dont want to go too big, and my PS was explaining that since my rib cage is narrow if we go with ultra high profile, I wont get a lot of side boob. Sounds perfect to me! Only 4 days away!

Are those your real boobs? They are beautiful. I would have died and gone to heaven to have that much to start with. I never would have gotten implants if I had what you have. I wouldn't mess with them if i were you. I am disappointed with implants as they are much stiffer and unlike the softness of real breast tissue. I HATE cohesive gel implants! I am waiting for them to design another implant that is softer. YOUR NATURAL BOOBS ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you so much! You know what, both times I was seen by my PS he told me how perfect they are and that you don't see that too often. Which made me second guess what I was doing. But in the same breath he would tell me how perfect my result is going to be. It's been a struggle for me, I've been told by girl friends that they are perfect but never really believed it cause in my eyes, they are just boobs! I didn't think there was much difference between mine and any other girl. Then when my PS told me that I was telling my husband, maybe I shouldn't, maybe we should leave them. But we decided that we still want to go through with it! I really do want bigger perky boobs! I have seen quite a few where people need a revision and aren't happy, and that scares me. But my PS is very good and I know a lot of people that have gone to him and have really good results, so I'm crossing my fingers that I will have a "perfect result" (if there is such a thing)! Thank you again, such a nice comment!

I had great breasts but I wanted them fuller and more voluptuous. Once I had the implants I wished I had done them 10 years earlier. If the surgery is done by a top notch surgeon and the right texture and shape are selected, it's unlikely you will be disappointed. I live in an area with outstanding surgeons and I've yet to come across a woman who wasn't thrilled with the outcome. However, an average surgeon will produce average results. You get what you pay for. A highly rated surgeon is going to be 9k-10k.

Hi Phoenix, I had one of the top surgeons in the WORLD but it is the IMPLANT I have a problem with not the surgeon. I am thin and have hardly any body fat including in my chest. Cohesive gel implants don't move like real breast tissue, they don't jiggle, and they are not soft. Until they come out with a more real-feeling implant it doesn't matter who the surgeon is.

I agree but the right surgeon would provide that feedback. I would hope! I do have a friend that went with saline for similar reasons to what you describe. I have Natrelle smooth silicone. The cohesive seemed "hard" to me. But the right surgeon would know the size and shape of the implant and hopefully explain anatomical limitations in advance. They aren't the same as real breast tissue though but for me... Only one person touches them. It was the look, especially in clothes that mattered. I have s very tiny waist and am 5'6 - tiny little frame but my top curves really didn't match my bottom curves. I just wished I did it years earlier.

Maybe "cohesive" wasn't the right term. I also have Natrelle implants. I couldn't get them under the muscle because I didn't want my muscles cut (you know they cut your muscles right? I don't know ONE GUY that would allow that on himself) and also I have strong pecs that most certainly would deform the implant if I flexed, so my only choice was above the muscle and I have no body fat. They look fine but they don't feel soft and they for sure don't jiggle like real breast tissue does.

Ah... Yes. So the gummy bear implants are "harder" which is why I opted against. But there is a big differnce in look and feel with under vs over the muscle. I went under and it was painful but 6 months down the road they felt beautiful and I felt really good. It's a hard choice to make and everyone is very different. I sort of obsessed over size, placement, texture, profile, etc. I can only share my personal experience which has been positive and I love how mine feel but they aren't as soft as natural. But no one knows because they jiggle and move pretty nicely. @chezron- how new are yours? They might soften up a little if it's still less than a year.

I too am very small framed. Big boobs aren't really the desired looked right now. I think you look great! I never would have messed with implants. They don't last that long and you end up with multiple surgeries. The size you want to go is huge and sounds very uncomfortable! It's not going to look or feel natural.

I'm definitely not going for what is or isn't the desired look. I'm all about what my husband and I want, I could care less what anyone else thinks looks desirable or not. Also I have felt multiple people that have had a BA with my same PS that got the same implants I'm getting and they are nice and squishy and feel just like my boobs feel now. And my boobs are natural now, so I am okay with how they will feel. Thanks for your feedback but I'm not going for what anyone else wants, it's all about me and my man and what we want. We have done extensive research and are prepared.

I have the best PS in Miami. Everyone should get what they want. I had my children before having implants. Why are you on real self if you didn't want real input?

Ignore previous comment, I reread your first post. Enjoy your new boobs!

Getting excited

So I got a phone call today and was told that I will be the first surgery of the day wed morning! I check in at 6am and surgery is at 7am. I haven't ever had any type of surgery, so this whole thing is new to me. I'm so thankful that I know my anesthesiologist personally and I totally trust putting my life in his hands. I picked up all of my prescriptions and have been cleaning house so I dont feel the urge to do so while I'm recovering. Any suggestions for things that will aid in recovery besides what the PS prescribed? Or things that you are like, man, I wish I would have had this or that? I have a recliner and a super comfy sectional that I plan on spending lots of time in. Only 2 days away!! Getting anxious :)

Some things I had to go and get later were.... Soft sports bras w/o underwire. Soma had a nice comfy one. For a few weeks my surgeon didn't have me in a bra though Silicone fabric. I used Oleeva and ordered on line. For use after stiches come out. Bags of frozen peas to use for icing. Oh gosh and Benadryl because the hydrocodone in the pain killers can make some people itchy. Have neosporin handy You will love them. Just remember its normal to feel a little down or second guess your decision about a week post op. Just have patience and swelling will subside, after a couple weeks psin will also and as the implants drop.... You will love them! I am 5 weeks post TT now so I do believe in the end it's worth it and you will be beautiful!

Headed to the surgery center now! Had a rough night, very anxious and excited which equals hardly any sleep. That's okay I'll get plenty of sleep in a few hours I'm sure. The husband has been so sweet and is so excited! He may be more excited than I am ;) Well wish me luck!!
