Wonderful Experience
Hello Everyone,
I would like to share my recent experience with Dr. Yirae Ort with you. I am so grateful for Dr. Ort and her team. Words can't even explain how appreciative I am.
Several years ago I went to a surgeon overseas who specializes in body sculpting. The Doctor did my mommy makeover which I was extremely pleased with the results.
About a year ago, I wanted to have Vertical Facelift, Necklift, Blepharoplasty and facial fat grafting done. After researching the best Facial plastic surgeon in the Seattle Area area and going to multiple consultation appointments, I narrowed it down to Dr. Yirae Ort.
So you would think this is straightforward but this is when things turned around. I reached out to the surgeon overseas who did the previous body work on me. I knew he specialized on the body but I wondered if he had any experience doing facial work as well.
He showed me a few facial surgeries he had completed and they looked good to me. So I figured, he did such a great job on my mommy makeover that I thought why not do the facelift procedure with him. I proceeded with the facial procedure I mentioned above with the Doctor overseas. The surgery went well. However, after returning home and a few months of healing, I noticed that both of my upper eyelids still had excess skin, the scar over the left eyelid was thick and the facial fat grafting was not even on both sides of my face. I reached out to the Doctor overseas, he said to give it time to heal properly. I did and nothing changed. At this point, I was so upset and realized I made a huge mistake. My face was uneven, the lower left side was heavy looking. He had placed more fat grafting on my lower left side which resulted in not looking symmetrical compared to my right side, my upper eyelids still had excess skin and the left eyelid incision was very visible.
At this point, I reached out to Dr. Ort and I had to wait 5 months for a consultation but it was worth the wait! I didn't know what to expect or if anything could be corrected. After visiting Dr. Ort she made me feel relieved that everything was going to be alright. She understood my concerns and was very thorough when suggesting alternatives to address my issues. I was happy that she was willing to address the other doctor's work, and was very appreciative of her proffesionalism and gracefulness.
Moving on, I scheduled the surgery with Dr. Ort and I had the revision surgery done a week ago. After just two days I was feeling happier with the results (even with all the swelling).
The surgery consisted of:
Dual lateral eye lifts
Steroid injection to smooth out the left eyelid incision scar
Facial fat grafting to even the asymmetry with Accutite radiofrequency.
It has now been a week. I just had the stitches removed and I can see the transformation. My face looks flawless!! I'm super excited and can't wait to see the full recovery.
My advice to anyone who is thinking about doing any kind of surgery. The key to a successful surgery is to utilize a Doctor that focuses on their specialty.
I'm so thankful to Dr. Yirae Ort for giving me back my confidence. I would highly recommend her and team for the services they render.
