Dr KAO fixed my eyes!!
After years of heartbreak, therapy, and tears, I can finally say: My eyes are back. My face is mine again. My life is mine again. Thank you to Dr. Chia Chi Kao.
I just had my revision surgery with Dr. Kao in the US, and he is truly a master and an artist. He immediately saw everything that had gone wrong and confirmed what I always knew deep down: I was never born like this, and it was never due to asymmetry.
He explained that this surgery is pure artistry not something to be done carelessly. Dr. Kao created this technique, and sadly, Dr. Ufuk tried to copy it and failed, leaving me disfigured.
The difference in care and humanity is night and day:
• Dr. Kao and his team were ethical, kind, and deeply human. They gave me hope, dignity, and my life back.
• Dr. Ufuk and his clinic not only caused the damage but blocked me, dismissed me, and treated me like I was crazy because their ego couldn’t handle accountability. This is against every standard of medical ethics worldwide.
And let me share how they treated me:
• First, Dr. Ufuk’s clinic told me that if I wanted a revision, I’d have to pay the full price again—and I’d get the same result. Imagine… who even says that?
• After I fought them, they said: “Come, we’ll see you. We’ll reverse everything for you. You’ll only pay the hospital fee.”
• I asked for a call with Dr. Ufuk… he never once got on the phone with me.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kao, a world-renowned celebrity surgeon, made all the time in the world for me. That is the difference between a true human doctor and someone who should never touch another patient again.
I will be documenting my entire journey—
Where Dr. Ufuk went wrong, how he failed me, and how Dr. Kao brought me back to life—because women deserve to know the truth.
To every woman suffering in silence: don’t give up.
The right doctor can give you back your face, your confidence, and your life.
After years of pain, I am finally free.
And I will make sure no clinic can hurt another woman this way without being exposed.
With love, strength, and fire,

The doctor who hurt me
Hi everyone,
First, thank you to all the women who messaged me privately. So many of you have been suffering in silence, and my heart is with you. Speaking with others who went through the same experience with Dr. Ufuk made me realize how many of us were blamed for results that were never our fault.
This journey has been traumatic mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’ve spent so much time and energy trying to fix what was done to me. Endless consultations. Thousands spent on Botox just to try and feel somewhat normal again. Nights spent crying, doubting myself, wondering if maybe I was born this way, because that’s exactly how they made me feel. And now, I’ll be spending a fortune to fix the damage left behind.
After connecting with girls on this platform, one thing became painfully clear: we were all told the exact same things. Word for word.
“It’s just your natural asymmetry.”
“Give it time.”
“You’re still swollen.”
“Even if we fix it, you’ll get the same result.”
“Some patients are perfectionists with psychological issues — we should reject them.”
Yes. These exact lines were used. On so many of us.
This isn’t just poor communication. It’s a script. A strategy. A calculated effort to delay, deflect, and make patients question their own sanity. This is not a medical practice. It’s a machine built on ego and money. And they do not care about the women they hurt in the process.
I was invited to a group chat filled with women who had surgeries with Dr. Ufuk that went wrong, and honestly, the stories are horrifying. Some are too scared to post. Some are still processing the trauma. But the pattern is clear. This is not a one off. This is a repeated, documented, and completely avoidable failure.
To any woman reading this who’s considering surgery with Dr. Ufuk, please take this as your sign. Before my surgery, I saw a review on realself that made me uncomfortable. I screenshot it and asked his team. They told me the girl was “still in her early days of recovery and this is normal.” I believed them. But we later connected. And they ruined her eyes too. Her photos are in another review. They lied to me. Just like they lied to her.
The way they treat you when you ask questions is cold and dismissive. Their replies are defensive. There’s no compassion. After everything I went through, Dr. Ufuk never once got on a video call with me. Not once. Every single time I raised a concern, I was told to book a flight to see him in Turkey. And I did once. And even then, I was lied to again. Fed empty reassurance.
And then I met the doctor who changed everything. A real celebrity surgeon. The one who actually created this technique. The one Dr. Ufuk copies, mimics, attends seminars for, and tries to be like. But the difference?
This doctor mastered it.
He saw the damage right away.
He’s board certified.
He gave me his time.
He made me feel safe.
He cared.
Dr. Ufuk? He copied, cashed in, and disappeared when things went wrong.
This new doctor gave me a full online consultation even with the time difference. And when I flew to see him, he gave me two full hours in person. He looked at my before photos and said, “You had such beautiful eyes. I’m sorry this happened to you.” For the first time in this whole nightmare, I felt seen. I felt safe. He explained exactly what went wrong. And he gave me hope.
And all I could think was, how is he actually made time for me meanwhile, Dr. Ufuk a doctor who let a bit of Instagram clout get to his head, couldn’t even give me five minutes. He and his team didn’t have the decency to show empathy, not even once.
Here’s what no one talks about. So many girls are still quiet. Scared to post. Scared to be attacked or dismissed. Scared to be gaslit again. But I won’t stay quiet.
This is your sign. Don’t be fooled by the perfect Instagram feed. Don’t believe the voice notes. Don’t let them make you think it’s in your head. We are not crazy. We are not dramatic. We were failed.
My revision is officially booked with the celebrity surgeon, I’ll be sharing my full journey once I’ve healed to help the women who were dismissed, ignored, and left to carry this alone and have hope. There are good doctors out there. You’re not alone. And you are not the problem.

Update
This is an update to my previous RealSelf review. After voicing my concerns, Dr. Ufuk’s clinic completely blocked me and has refused any contact since. Instead of handling things professionally, they shut me out, ignored me, and refused to even offer a simple video consultation.
The only response I ever got? “Fly back to Turkey if you want to speak to the doctor.”
As if it’s that easy to drop everything, spend thousands on flights and hotels again, and go through another nightmare with them. They refused to accommodate me in any way and had zero interest in addressing my concerns.
The Reality of My Botched Surgery
I’ve added images showing my face before surgery, my healing process, and how from the start, the stitches were already wrong. Here’s what I’ve been left with:
1. Post-surgery, one of my eyes is permanently higher than the other.
2. The stitches were completely uneven—one was sewn too high, the other was pulled too tight, completely distorting my natural symmetry.
3. When I smile, one eye barely opens while the other remains big and round.
4. My head has been numb and painful since the surgery. Sometimes, even wearing a ponytail feels too tight.
5. They pushed me into getting a cheek lift even though I specifically said it wouldn’t suit my long face. They convinced me it would look good—and now, one cheek is noticeably higher than the other and even protruding outward. You can clearly see it in the images.
6. Recovery was a nightmare. For the first three months, I was so swollen I looked unrecognizable—like an alien. It took six months before I even looked somewhat normal, and after all that, I was left with permanent asymmetry.
No Aftercare, No Support—Just Gaslighting
• They denied any issues, making me feel like I was the problem for noticing my botched results.
• They refused to provide any real solution except telling me to “come back to Turkey.”
• The revision offer was insulting. First, they demanded I pay €11,000 AGAIN to fix their mistake. Then, after I pushed back, they finally agreed to a free revision—but only if I accepted that my eyes would never be symmetrical. Their exact words? “We will give you free revision, but your results will be the same.”
• I had to BEG for a response. At some point, they completely stopped replying. I messaged the nurses, DM’d them, even contacted the doctor’s wife on Instagram, begging her to take my case like her own daughter.
Favoritism & Fake Promises
• If you’re a celebrity or influencer, they roll out the red carpet for you.
• My influencer friends got flawless results, VIP treatment, and aftercare. Meanwhile, I was ignored and treated like an inconvenience.
Final Warning: DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC
This experience ruined my face, drained me emotionally and financially, and left me with a botched result that other surgeons now have to fix. I have received so many messages from other women who went through the same thing.
This clinic only cares about money and social media. If something goes wrong, they will gaslight you, block you, and refuse to take responsibility.
Do your research. Ask for before and afters the real not the ones that are on instagram, and ask for ones that are similar to your eye shape. Do NOT fall for their fake Instagram. Find a doctor who actually cares about their patients results and mental health.
