A Nightmare

I had surgery with Dr Askeroglu on May 30, 2025 for a liplift SCAR REVISION, and this has been the worst decision I have ever made.
I came to fix a problem and I ended up with a bigger problem. It is a shame for an experienced surgeon to produce such a poor result. I don’t understand how it’s even possible.
I trusted him but I am very disappointed, the result is terrible: not natural and not even symmetrical.

Now I am 3 months post op, the result isn’t natural at all, the space between my nose and my lip is 8mm which is not physiological (it should be AT LEAST 11mm to look good on a woman according to several plastic surgeons’ websites). It looks like my mouth is stuck to my nose, it looks really ugly.
Since surgery I also have asymmetrical lips: on the left, my lip is higher and larger.
The only positive thing is that the scar is better but the global result is a disaster.

I think the role of a surgeon isn’t just to operate but also to give advice and say no when a surgery will lead to a bad result. Even if he couldn't be sure if it was possible or not with the pictures I sent him on WhatsApp, he should have seen during the face to face consultation that in my case it was not possible to get a good result and he should have canceled the surgery after the face to face consultation.
Since then I have been depressed and I regret this surgery every single day.
Even if my scar was bad before, my face was harmonious which is no longer the case. By leaving 8mm of skin between my nose and my mouth there was no chance that the result would be good and he should have seen that before operating me.

I don't know if he didn't see it during the consultation because he didn't measure the distance between my mouth and my nose, or if didn't want to cancel because the operation was scheduled for the next day and he didn't want to lose money, but in any case it was a mistake that could have been avoided.

Dr Askeroglu refuses to admit that the surgery is a failure and offers me no solutions to improve the result, according to him the operation was successful (when it’s clearly false).

Of course you won't see my before/after pictures on Dr. Askeroglu's Instagram account, he doesn't post botched surgeries, so don’t believe everything you see on Instagram.
Think twice before booking a surgery with him because once he receives his money and you leave Turkey, he leaves you alone and without a solution, he doesn’t take responsibility for his mistakes

Also I want to clarify something even if he removed his comment on my review, I want people to see it and see my answer because I am pretty sure that’s the lie he tells in private if someone asks him about my review.
He was saying :
“As clearly seen in your before photo your scar was looking like "burned and damaged' that you can not even move your lip properly. You begged to be accepted for revision but now which is unbelievable is you don't even blame the previous surgeon but us with a novel review who felt sorry and accepted you as revision. this is a big lecture for us - never will be accepting hard revision cases because we are being victim. Smart patients can see how hard to fix that before scar. And after lip will be coming down 1 cm by time as our goal was making a clean scar first and getting the desired look in a year by getting rid of swelling. So sorry to hear this.”

And my answer was : « Dr Askeroglu is completely lying, I never begged to have surgery, I just asked if it was possible and he immediately said yes, I still have all the WhatsApp conversations to prove it.
It's also a lie when he says I couldn't move my mouth (everything was going well with my mouth).
My only problem was that the scar was visible and I wanted a less visible scar, it was only an aesthetic request.
After 1 month I no longer had any swelling already and there is no chance that my lip will go down 1cm soon, it will take years to return to normal length (it should be at least 11mm to look good), with the natural aging of the skin.
And he blames my previous surgeon but it's not because I had an bad scar, that he had to do even worse. He could have simply refused the operation by explaining that in my case the distance is too short and it is not possible to do better. When you do plastic surgery, it's to improve things, not to make them worse.
It's ridiculous and dishonest of him to lie like that and not take responsibility for his own mistakes.
But the photos are the best proof that the result is a failure.

Everything he was saying in this answer to my review was a lie from A to Z.
I think it's important to tell the truth and people don’t believe all his lies.
And I think it important that everyone know that, not only he disfigured me, but he is also a liar who does not take responsibility for his mistakes and leaves the patients he failed without a solution. I asked him several times but he never tried to find a solution, he doesn't care at all that he messed up the operation, his last message to me was : « goodbye forever » very chocking from a surgeon who did a mistake.

I've done some research, and absolutely every website that explains lip lifts in detail says the minimum distance between the nose and mouth is 11mm.
I don't know if he was asleep during his lip lift training or if he's just dishonest and only interested in money, and doesn't care about his patients, since most of them come from abroad.

I'm sharing my experience so people can see the true face of this dishonest surgeon, ready to disfigure his patients and lie to try justify himself rather than admit his mistake and try to find a solution.
I also discovered that he even botched an operation on the famous Turkish singer Ali?an, it was in the Turkish newspapers.

I wish I had known all this before, so I would never have let him touch my face.
