I went to DR to get a lipo and BBL done by Dr. Aquino. I arrived at CECIP which a cheap low class hospital. I spoke with his assistant Dr. Katherine on the phone prior to making my appointment who was very nice and i told her exactly what I wanted. When i arrived, Dr. Katherine was out of the country and I was dealt with by his other assistant who knew nothing about me. Again, i went over the procedure i wanted and showed my wish pic. Day of surgery was slow. I was told my surgery time would be 10am at 3pm i'm still waiting for the Dr. Aquino to arrive so that he could perform my surgery. Finally after he showed up, he came into my room and marked me for surgery. I had no chance to ask question as he was 'in a rush to start surgery' (translated by his assistant). Anyway, i did my surgery and was transferred back to my room. When i woke up, the call light was hanging on the wall out of my reach. I was in pain and i could not call upon a nurse for attention. I had to sleep through the pain for the night. The next day, when Dr. Aquino came in the morning, he was the one that handed me the call light. He does have good bedside manner and he seems to be a nice doctor in terms of mannerism but i was mainly concerned about my surgery. And after day 3 post op when i could get up and look at myself, it was like nothing has changed. Before i was discharged, i spoke with his assistant and told her that there was no shape and my butt doesn't look like i just had a BBL. I was told that i will notice the results after the swelling goes down. I went to the recover house, Jacqueline Marrero Spa (i recommended staying here), and met with other women from different surgeons who had the same procedure as i did and you can literally see a big difference in shape and size. At this point, i realized that i just wasted my money for a bad surgery. Since i was determined to have the shape i wanted i went to another doctor while i was recovering, Dr. Yily. She looked me over and told me straight off the bat that it was a bad surgery. I had no hips, no drain, i had fluid build-up around my lower back and hips (very dangerous), the garment was not compressing the parts of my body that needed to compress and after showing her my before pics, she told me it looked as if i didn't have any surgery at all (aside from all the bruising). As a warning for those who are looking for doctors in DR, do not go to Aquino, he is not worth it. And you do not want to risk your health!!
I've already rescheduled my new surgery date with Dr. Yily for Dec. giving my body some time to heal and she is happy to take me on. Plus her results are legit and the best.

UPDATE

Sorry folks, I definitely haven't been on here for about 9 months mainly due to me forgetting my password literally right as I came home from DR, and then since I came back I went overtime on work which is in another country yeah, I was MIA. So I’d like to just give an update and I'll post before and after pics soon(have to get them organized), yea I know it's been a while but I still think it'll help. So like I mentioned in my previous post, I went to Dr. Aquino for liposculpture (arms, abs, back, and thighs) and BBL. After the first month post op, I still didn’t notice a difference even after the swelling had subsided. I wasn't expecting to lose weight but wanted a curvy shape to my body, which for me did not occur. Since the surgery, I healed fully in 4 months. Technically, you're supposed to work out to keep or improve the shape of the surgery and get lymphatic drainage massage on a regular. I started working out in the gym after my first month post op but would get really dizzy and felt nauseous and faint, however the lymph drainage was 3x a week for 6weeks and it’s very relaxing. After a doctor's visit with my personal physician, I found out I had excessive anemia (super low blood count) even after continuing to take iron pills after post op so I had to lay off the gym for a while. Very ironic, since I had a high blood count prior to surgery and was in fairly good health aside from weight. I also mentioned that I would go to Yily in Dec' 14 but I canceled the trip due to work and have been on and off about going into another surgery. No big health issues since the surgery, just experience anemia which I’ve taking Mega Food Blood Builder since I found out about this issue (blood count is close to normal range) and low vitamin D, these have prolonged even 9 months post op but can be addressed with over the counter meds. Like I said my body hasn’t really changed since the surgery, I don’t doubt Aquino is a good doctor for some but he sure wasn’t for me. He wasn’t an aggressive doctor like Yily who concentrates on small giving a small waist and more of an hour glass shape. Look, I’ve seen Yily, Duran, and Rubles dolls directly after post op and their shape is on point!! So for me there was a big difference when comparing my surgery with other members in person (who were bigger than my body type) who just had the same exact surgery and seeing a significant difference in the shape of their body as oppose looking at pics online to have an idea of what your body will look like. I spent in total approximately $5,200, this includes recovery home which I stayed for 14 days and saw a lot of dolls throughout my time, transportation fees (back and forth from airport), surgery of course, testing done while in DR, and meds. Most of the dolls I housed with were in severe pain, couldn’t see them until day 3-4 of their post op, I was up and walking around on the first day and I don’t have a high pain tolerance…at all. Some dolls I met while at the recovery house I still keep in contact with and majority (6 out 8) have changed dress sizes and still have their hour glass shape…yes, I’m totally jealous and I tell them all the time. I really would not recommend Aquino, especially after my experience and what felt like a waste of time and especially money. 2 thumbs down.
Like I said I will post pics within the week, trying to get them organized. You will definitely hear from me soon and not another 9 months later. Good luck to all you ladies taking a change for body improvement!
