19 Year Old Rhinoplasty, Finally!!! Dearborn, MI

I figured since everyone on here that has written a review has helped me out, I'd do my share!

Tomorrow, march 16th 2015, I'll be going in for surgery for a septoplasty/rhinoplasty :D of course, my nerves are going craaaaaazy. I'm so nervous and anxious, but I'm so super excited. I've been waiting for this for like seven years.

I'm getting my deviated septum fixed, and removing the hump on my bridge. There's also other little things being done but I don't know how to describe it :P

The septoplasty part of my surgery will be covered by my insurance. The rhinoplasty portion will cost me $2,500 for the surgery itself, and the hospital charge (the aneastesia and equipment) will cost $1,025. I'm so lucky to live where I do, since it's going to be so cheap! (I live in southeast Michigan).

I'm also lucky that my wonderful mother and amazing boyfriend will be with me to help me through this

The day of surgery was a roller coaster of emotions for me. My mom ended up getting mad at me like a half hour before I had to be there (11am) so I was crying cause of her and crying cause I was scared so I was just a huge mess :P but, when I got there everything went smooth. The nurses were all very kind, I got a numbing shot before my IV (I'm terrified of getting IVs and my blood taken). I got to see my mom and my boyfriend before I went into surgery, and then I was rolled to the OR! Within like seconds I was fast asleep. Then before I knew it, I was being rolled back to my room as I was waking up. I had no idea where I was D: I literally dreamt that I was getting the surgery so when I woke up I didn't really know if I got the surgery or not lol. But, of course, I did! I was given some pop and goldfish crackers before I was given my pain medicine, then shortly I was able to go home (:

I am so so sorry I have taken so long to update, I've been so exhausted. The day of surgery (the 11th) I slept just about the whole day because my eyes were basically swollen shut! It sucked but I'm a tough cookie! The next day was a lot better. I could open my eyes and could stay up for more than an hour lol. My bruising and puffy eyes are really the only things that are bugging me. And of course not being able to blow my nose -_- but it'll be worth it. I've been eating kinda normal, but unfortunately I learned I can't hold down mashed potatoes :'( but Mac and cheese is just as good I guess (: my boyfriend has literally been so kind to me. He takes naps with me, is always asking me if I need anything, and has been cleaning up after me. Even when he goes outside to work on his motorcycle, he comes in every like half hour to check up on me C: I'm so so thankful for him.

There's not much else for me to say! I'll take some better pictures tomorrow after I attempt to bathe lol :P goodnight for now (:
