I went to Dr. Dayan for a revision rhinoplasty procedure. In his defense, he was not the doctor who botched my original procedure, but I am only giving him one star because he did not deliver what he promised. Like many who elect for rhinoplasty, my original nose was very nice. I just felt like it was too long for my face. I was young when I decided to undergo surgery, and naive to think that nothing could go wrong. I was left with a nose that looked nothing like my original nose. The most upsetting part was how much the tip was changed. I always liked the tip of my nose and it looked nice in photos. I waited about four years before seeking a revision. I consulted with a few doctors, including Dr. Dayan. He had great marketing and it truthfully made me feel comfortable in his hands. It's been a few years since I had the revision procedure and I am so displeased. It's been eating at me more than ever how much I dislike the way it looks, so out of curiosity, I went back and looked at his digital morphed images and they look absolutely nothing like my result. I went to him because I wanted the tip to look more refined, and it's actually more bulbous than it was after my primary rhinoplasty. In addition, my columella hangs too low and my nostrils look pinched, like they are too small for the main portion of my nose. My nostrils are not symmetrical, and my frontal view looks terrible. My 3/4 view is also very ugly and I'm sure I would feel the same about my profile view if I took the time to look at it every day. He also took cartilage from each of my ears and one of them is basically deformed and still tender 3.5 years later. I am now in the hunt for a skilled surgeon to hopefully restore my confidence. I used to love having my picture taken and I used to feel beautiful, but my self esteem has tanked since going under the knife. I urge anyone considering primary rhinoplasty to think long and hard if it's what you want, because it's life changing and often for the worse. I would give anything to have my natural nose back. I cannot believe I am now in the boat of seeking a second revision.
