Forgot to update this for a while, but just wanted to say Dr. Fuentes did a great job and I love the balance created- very natural looking and I'm much less self conscious. Six months later and I still have fullness and balance. Love it!

I have naturally full lips however I feel my top lip is disproportionately smaller than my bottom, and I wanted a filler that would give me balance and projection but still look natural. Dr. Fuentes suggested Juvederm Volbella, and I was excited to try it since it's not available yet in the US and it's especially designed for lips.
I had Botox done at the same time but I'll probably make a separate review for that. My total cost for 20 units of Botox and 1 syringe of Volbella was $430, however I believe the Volbella alone was $270 (after a discount coupon I had, received after a previous procedure at Cosmed).
Dr. Fuentes took the time to discuss my goals and explain the procedure to me thoroughly since it was my first time. He applied a topical anesthetic to my lip prior to the injections.
Injections were not painful, just uncomfortable. My sister was with me and she took some photos :) I received the full syringe in my top lip only.
I didn't swell right away, it built up slowly and by evening I was quite swollen. Today I'm still very puffy but the Dr. advised this is normal and should subside in a few days. I'll post more pix when I look like a human again :)
