Upset with results of Voluma in cheeks. I recd Voluma in both cheeks in February. i first noticed small difference in May. Now August and it appears to have disappeared. Friends are questing me if im well! Has anyone else had such problem? I am writing for results of others and drs compliance. Have doctors gone too far with promises and pharmacudical companies made promises not accurate?

Hard to get results as we get older....maybe do a liquid lift....i have found I do one area and then focus on another and another after that...or maybe do a full lift...or half....can see great results....

mine have either disappeared or have dropped to my jowls.

Thanks for your comment. Received complimentary injections, now to wait and see if they 'disappear' also. Will keep you, and others posted! Not impressed with Voluma, if it applies to 70 yr old gals who try to look younger vs a face lift.

Yes, I had the Voluma injections for hollow cheeks, such as I see my mother has. My Opthamologist tells me she can help with the dark circles....also such as Mother's. (I'm blaming all this on her!)

I too think Voluma is a rip off and disappointed with how long mine lasted - about 4 months. I feel like it's a scam. I too contacted my doctor/injector, but they offered nothing. It's not worth the money, and will never purchase again. I feel like I'm entitled to some compensation for the misleading advertising by Juvederm, great way to lose clients. Not happy to say the least.

Wow. I also have the horizontal lines like that. Click on mu name and you can read my post and see my pictures. I go tommorrow to the eye surgeon. Mine are very prominent in dim lighting and in my car. In very bright light they appear less visible. Thank you for posting. You are not alone. I am devastated by my results. I looked better before.......hang in there

I didn't expect the Voluma to help me correct the dark circles, my Opthamologist has told me she will correct that area within a year. I had the Voluma injections to correct 'sunken' cheek area, which happens with age. btw, it DID help the appearance of sunken lower eye circles, another reason to be disappointed with results. My appointment this week should answer a lot of questions.

Let me knows what happens. I went to a oculoplastic surgeon who said wait for it to dissolve. I wish I had tried radiate.

The first time I had my eyes done, I was 60 years old. The doctor was a plastic surgeon in Saint Petersburg Florida who had done my brother's eyes. I was awake during the procedure and he gave me lots of Valium to calm my nerves. I was happy with the results. Then in 2009 I had a full face lift and the lower lids done again. This time I was completely out and intibated. My blood pressure was so high after the procedure I was afraid I was going to die. I'm still here and I have had dermal fillers because I don't want to be put out again. I recently went to a dental surgeon who is big on Juvederm and Voluma, but he hit a blood vessel under my right eye and I had to hibernate for two weeks since I was black and blue and looked like someone had socked me in the eye. If you find someone who has had a good experience with a doctor who is an artist with these fillers, let me know. I am now 73 years old and fighting aging just like you are.

Now December and have had my second Voluma injections (cheek area). I won't know for at least a month if it will stay in the desired area. The first two injections, done last February had disappeared by April/May. This time it was done by a different doctor, yet in the same med group. Only a very slight bruising when he hit a small blood vessel, easily covered with light make-up. I quit taking aspirin for 10 days before the injections, just precautionary. Will post to tell all who are interested about THIS go-round, good OR bad!

It seems that the Voluma effects are dissipating already. The fluid filled half moon shaped area under the right eye trough is still prominent. The doctor insisted that the hollows in the eye trough area should be filled with Voluma and I would look much better. He did not say, "Oops, I hit a blood vessel. " I paid more money for him to inject these dermal fillers than I have paid any other doctor. I previously had one vial of Juvederm injected in my lip area since my lips have always been thin. The results from one vial were better and lasted longer than what this dentist injected.I have had three different doctors inject Juvederm in my lip area using only one vial which cost $400. This time I paid $800 for each vial of Voluma = $1,600 and $500 for each vial of Juvederm XC = $1,000, for a total of $2,600. I am kicking myself for letting a dentist administer these dermal fillers. He has achieved the Diamond status which means he has bought alot of Alergan products and gets a discount. He also teaches other practitioners how to inject the Alergan products, but that doesn't mean he is careful on his own patients. He is also not passing on his discounts to his patients. His female staff are reaping the benefits of getting free injections of dermal fillers. Most doctors on the blog site say they keep some of the product to do revisions when the patient comes back in two weeks. I had my Voluma and Juvederm injections on September 19 and after three months the effect is wearing off, but that doggone bag of fluid under my right eye is hanging around. This dentist did not offer to see me again to do any type of revisions.

It may be wise to stop spending money on fillers and get a facelift with a good doctor. Fillers add up fast.. It seems like saving money but in long run it is not really saving if you do the math. There are doctors that do face lifts without putting you under. They use a form of Novocain ..I know of one on Long Island, I never used him but his work is amazing. I have seen it live, really impressive.

I live near Daytona Beach, Florida and it's a long way to Long Island. I have a plastic surgeon in mind and I should have consulted him instead of the dentist who wrote and article about his expertise in injecting Voluma. He said you can stop by for Voluma injections to fill in eye trough hollow area and go back to work with no downtown. That was false advertising because my eye area turned black and blue after he injected Voluma under the eye trough area and I hid in my house for two weeks. So much for no downtime.

Never go to a dentist for anything other than teeth, they are all cashing in on this fuller craze. As far as I know volume can not be injected under the eye. I had a bad reconstruction and I find the only filler that looks fully natural and seems to build upon itself..meaning every time you get it it lasts longer if restalyne..I think it is one of the least exspensive and oldest. Only that should be put near the eyes.. That dentist was negligent..I think on voluma it says for cheeks only. Anyway look for a good doctor in your area.. Check real self for reviews on the doctor and honest pictures. You will need a facelift where they move the muscle, not just skin, but any good doctor knows this. I wish you the best, I know when you look better you will feel better. Oh also look on YouTube, I learned lots there, but be careful of people selling products

I just looked again at your pics.. Really call the dental board, this man should be turned in, what did he do to your cheek? I could do a better job than that lol.. I'm sorry, but that is just wrong.. 1800 for that??? I am starting to dislike many of these hacks..please find a very good plastics Surgeon..my sisters friend went to Lee Gipstein in FL, she looks beautiful, but again check all MDS out on search and on here.. Type name and reviews
All the best..you are beautiful and I know you will love results, you have great eyes, it's really a matter of a good facelift now

My Dr was unable to perform second Voluma injections; now to wait for September to come, new date not scheduled.

it kind of sounds like me. I went to a surgeon and they did not want to touch it and wanted me to wait till I got dissolved. I don't think this is ever going to dissolve and i'm looking like a Lurch. I hope you have a good holiday and hang in there

I too had little to NO results with this "product" I had to go through much financial hardship to have this done but naively thought it was worth it Now I look more saggy and hollow than ever. I contacted the provider re this and they ignore me Beware of Contour Clinic in Minnesota I plan to next contact BBB

I'm sorry your results didn't last very long, have you contacted the doctor you injected you to see what he says?
