In summary, he is brilliant, kind and everything one is looking for in a ps. He never once attempted to push any additional treatments, and was only interested in helping me become the best version of me. I had smooth saline over the muscle implants placed in 2005 by a different physician. They were too big for my frame from the beginning and through the years began to become heavy, sag, and cause back pain. I consulted dr. Rottman for an explant with capsulectomy, mastopexy (breast lift), and fat graft/transfer. I'm currently on the mend and healing beautifully. I will let the pics speak for themselves. Thank you dr. Rottman (and beautiful Brooke and Emily) for your professionalism, kind demeanor and your undeniable gift of giving me my confidence back. Much love.

Hello, I’m looking to have the same procedures done. I see some people doing it in 2 stages - explant and lift first, then fat grafting next - but it looks like you did yours in one shot? Is that right?

Just seen my doc today for follow up and work clearance. I’m feeling really good. Still a little swelling in my breasts and definitely still some swelling around my lipo sites but other than that no pain. I bought a compression garment to help with swelling and it’s been helpful. I shared the collage pic that my doc sent me today. I’m so, so happy with my results. My incisions are healing so nicely. The right side is so straight and clean, and the others are very similar. Doc seems happy with progress and we hope to see only about a 10% decrease in overall size concerning the fat transfer. I’ve just been wearing mild compression, per his orders. No massage or heat. Start back to tomorrow. Nervous about the long shifts but I work with a fabulous group of ladies who are so kind and will help me if needed.

You sound as though you are on track to make a speedy recovery. Good for you. When I returned to work I struggled with the doors being so heavy more than anything else. But after two weeks I was back up and fully operational again. I am 3 months implant free. Though I found the first two weeks after the op a little tough I am so pleased I had it done. Just wish I had done it sooner as I feel so much healthier. After the 4th week I Started using vitamin E cream on my scars in the morning, and Bio Oil at night which I have found to be a routine that has really helped the scars to heal. I am also going to start to do some weights this week to strengthen the chest and arm areas. I have also been putting vitamin c tablets in my water at work as that too helps the healing process. I hope all goes well at work for you. Good luck!

Thank you! I actually ended up taking another week off of work due to the long hours (12 hr shifts). I swelled a good bit and one of my incisions started draining just a bit more after working so we decided not to push it. I want to heal right and not cause any complications. The swelling is thankfully decreasing but I notice if I'm upright/walking around for too long (2+hrs) the swelling worsens. The lipo swelling is ridiculous, too! Compression does help, but the fluid shifting is crazy. I can't wait to be 3 months post! I'm looking forward to getting back in the gym and picking up my baby (13 months). Only 2.5 weeks until I can do that at least! I'm using aquaphor per my doc on my scars right now and bacitracin and neosporin on the area that was seeping a little. Once I'm all sealed up and get the clear, I plan to use vitamin E or someone else recommended Manuka honey? I'm going to look into it a bit more. Sounds like you have a great regimen and I hope you continue to heal and remain healthy! I'm so glad those bags are out of me! I feel so light and ME again :) Take care

Thank you for your kind comment! It does feel great to have those things out. I really do feel like ME again. One of the hardest parts is to NOT push too much and rest when I need to. Haha. I can't wait to get through this and back to my routine and work.

So glad that women are taking their lives, health, bodies back. Implants are sucking the life out of so many women.

I am two weeks post- op removed saline implants 16 years old. I am 40 years old. I didn’t require a lift and I love my new boobs!! Yes they are smaller but I never have to worry about surgery again. So worth it

So here is my progress at just about 4 weeks post op. I am fully back to work and my swelling is finally very minimal. Still a little tight with certain movements but I hope to fix that once my weight restrictions are up at 6 weeks. I have started picking up my 14 month old, but I’m proud that I held off for the first 3 weeks to promote healing. I’m very lucky that my husband was able to take time off to help me to do that. My incisions are healing nicely. And my breasts still look full. I’m anxious to see how much fat is retained, but I’m staying hopeful.
