Replacing Recalled Inspiras with Upgraded Inspiras Same Size!! 650 UHP Smooths

ORIGINAL POST

Replacing Recalled Inspiras with Upgraded Inspiras Same Size!! 650 UHP Smooths

WORTH IT$1,535
So I had my appointment yesterday to see about getting my recalled implants replaced. It went great!! My awesome surgeon didn’t try to convince me to keep them but rather immediately said, “Let’s get those out!” He is only charging me for anesthesia plus for the OR (had his own).
Also, found out today that Allergan is covering the implants plus an upgrade I wanted to make ( from Inspira Responsive to Inspira Soft Touch) because they are thicker silicone so I’m hoping for less rippling! They are covering both since I’m keeping the same size. 650 uhp! They weren’t aproved for use in USA for use until after my last surgery or I would have gotten them then. So looks like it will just cost about $1500!!
Surgery set for 19 August with Pre Op in a couple weeks!! He’s keeping my capsules in to support the new smooth implants!!!

ah i see your review now! yes thank you for this, i saw my surgeon this week, he fluffed over the lymphoma scare but agreed to remove and replace with something softer - i have found these way to unnatural and wouldnt ever of recommended them if youre slim build

That's great about your surgeon! Are you saying mine are way too unnatural or yours? If mine, yes, that's exactly what I wanted! Bigger, rounder, closer, lots of upper pole fullness and faker :)
August 2, 2019
oh no i meant mine :) ive been complaining for want of a better word for the last 2 years as its not the look i wanted, so hes agreed now to replace im very narrow at the top not sure i can go bigger sadly but i would - i have 415 allergan textured hp atm

Oh! Is it going to cost you to get them replaced? I had 440 hp the first time but wanted more! Are our going to make a review? I tried to find one but didn't see it if you have one.
August 2, 2019
im not sure if it will but i wont be happy if it does so im waiting for his email confirmation. no not made a review i should really as it does help others and this will be my 3rd op as one was way off centre so had to be adjusted. also ive very tight over muscles and when i exert myself they pull on the implants which also isnt nice

You are very brave; i just do not want to go through it all again . I also have a lot of rippling unfortunately . I always thought, from day one, it was because of the textured implants . Let us know how it will go

Thank you! My dr did mention (if I remember correctly) that you get more rippling if it's textured. I'm excited to see the difference from the smooth and the thicker silicone!

I am sure you do if you have thin skin; i have paper thin skin so that was obviously going to happen :(. Looking forward to your review. I wonder if the pain will be bearable since the pockets are done already. By the way , i am in Europe and not even sure Allergan would cover new implants here

Hi :-). I actually have way less rippling than I did when I had my first implants so I'm happy with that. I had Sientras and that's why I wanted Inspiras. Plus I wanted a round faker look! Hmmm, I not sure how it is there but I would hope Allergan would do it no matter where you are.

I will need to ask . My rippling is actually quite horrible (but i also have the fake super round look :) ) . Looking forward to your review when done . Thank you

How long did you have the recalled implants in? A friend of mine has the recalled implants an her. She had her surgery about 2 year ago but her surgeon isn't returning her email so calls. Finally jut brother dat after more than a month of trying to get a response; a generic email was sent out telling everyone not o worry!!

I only had them for a bit over 3 years. The fda did say not to remove them and just go see your dr if you had symptoms. I didn't like that and when I went to see my surgeon he immediately said, "let's get those out!"

Thank you much for all your help and being open enough to share!!! Because of your honest review I now know I have found the Ruhr surgeon for me! I've been on here for a couple years and had saved him an one other doctor but his compassion or you has given me a great sense of peace!!! I hope my friend can get help too!!! Keep posting!!!

Quite a few ladies from when we were "RealFriends" went to Vath. They spoke highly of your PS & his revision policy. Glad your getting your recalled implants out. Are you staying with UHP or going with something a tad wider? I know you stated the same ccs and firmer, just didn't know if that changed the profile or anything? I love my mod+ bc their a tad wide but I have a large BWD, it gives me great cleavage and great projection! I get double duty out of my girls. I can hide'em if I want or display'em if I dare, LOL! ;-)

Hi, I'm staying with the uhp and still getting the Inspiras! They will be smooth and be the Soft Touch rather than the Responsive. I can't wait to see and feel them! Dr. Vath already moved my boobs closer together when I had my revision which I'm thrilled about. My natural small boobs had a big gap.

Ok I looked back and see what your talking about how he moved your boobs closer together. Def see why your getting the same implants, makes sense. You had a bluish/turquoise leopard print dress on in an old review, omg where did you get that....LOVE it!

Had My Pre Op!!

I had my pre op this afternoon! It didn’t last long but I signed consents, took pictures, got question answered as well as I finding out what I can and can’t do. Not lifting weights or 2 weeks is going on hard! I go every other day now. :-(
Originally my surgery was scheduled for 9:30 but now it‘s noon. We have to be there at 10.
I’m super excited and got my prescriptions filled tonight!!

Hi. I also have the recalled implants. Did you say that Allergan is covering the cost to have them replaced? The last I heard was they were not unless you had already developed the cancer. I have an appointment with my surgeon on September 9th to discuss removal and replaced with the smooth. Would like to know who to contact about this to get more information before my appointment. Thanks!

Hi, I was under the same impression as you about them only paying if you had the cancer. I was stunned and thrilled when the patient coordinator told me it was being covered! They even said it would cover me upgrading my implant since I'm getting the same size. I thought I'd need to pay the difference between the Responsive and the Soft Touch but no!! I'm super excited because with the implants being covered plus my awesome dr only charging for the anesthesia and his OR it's super affordable! That saved me over 6K! I hope you get a good deal too! Let me know when you find out. I have my surgery this Monday!
August 17, 2019
Thanks for the information. I did find that last night after doing some research. I will definitely talk with my surgeon about it. Do you have to get the same implant size before it is covered? Good luck with ur surgery. Let me know how it goes and I will also keep you updated. Thanks again!
User Avatar

I was told that Allergan was covering the upgraded implant since I was the same size. So I'm guessing if I wanted the upgraded implant in a different size I would jut have to pay the difference between the two. I think it was just going to be a couple hundred more. When is your appointment? I'll try to update my review Monday after surgery but we will see :-)
August 18, 2019
My appointment is sept 9th. Yes, definitely let me know how it goes! Good luck!
August 18, 2019
i read today allergen will cover some of the costs but not the anethesia (sorry spelling!!) im going to hit my surgeon with that one even though the post was american , yes please keep us updated. I want a different profile, ive never been happy with mine x

Yes they didn't cover the anesthesia or the OR. I hope they will cover it for you. My dr also didn't charge his normal fee!
August 20, 2019
ive complained direct to the hospital first as I hold them responsible, he wants 5.2k to remove and replace with the same size but smooth. If no go, im going to take it further, - thanks for the reply and please please keep us updated :)
