Philip Straka butchered my implant removal/areola reduction. Surgery 5/21. Undesired outcome happened at around the 6 month mark

I had implant removal with a lift and areolar reduction. All looked fine for several months after surgery. Now, my breasts sit slightly lower than before the implant removal/lift surgery. But that's not even the worst part. My incision scars around the areola after 6+ months are misshapen and look as if some of my areola is outside of the incision. During consult he claimed he uses a device that cuts a symmetrical-like circular shape. I said that's a relief because I've looked at photos on varying websites where it looks like the surgeon drew the circle freehand. He then proceeds to excitedly tell me he can do this freehand himself in, which I responded multiple times to please not do a freehand drawing of my areola on me. Must have fallen on deaf ears. Now, I have to go get an additional surgery elsewhere for $6700 to perform a lift and areolar revision. Straka has really capitalized on the niche market of patients desperate to remove their implants. But the kind of sutures he must use and his sloppiness of his suturing methods screams of a surgeon who has not stayed up to date with current techniques to improve the outcome satisfaction of the patient. And FYI it's not my body's natural scarring recovery, as I had zero issues when getting implants from another surgeon. In fact, the other surgeon's technique and sutures he used made my scarring almost invisible. I thought Straka had a big ego during my consult and oversold how wonderful he boasts his expertise to be, and I should have trusted my intuition and waited to get into my first choice. I was just so ready to have my implants removed. This guy needs to retire. All of the people who have given him rave reviews must not have viewed actual exceptional work by other, obviously more skillful Drs who continue to improve their craft by staying educated on updated improvements to their surgical career. I don't know how else to warn anyone not to go here. Also, his prices are quite higher than other, more sought after surgeons.

Why do you think the undesired outcome happened 6 months later?

My statement of the undesired outcome 6 months later is just approximate timeframe I remember noticing the scarring around my areolas becoming super obvious. So basically the first 4 months or so, everything looked like it was healing fine. And I want to make clear that I followed proper recovery protocols, and it is definitely not anything I did during the recovery period that compromised my results.

Is this your first time doing any cutting around nipple area? Or have you healed better in the past? They do have laser treatments that make this scar look a lot better .

There's a reason he shows mostly pictures of patients covering their nipples. And here it is. Don't go to Philip Straka in Kingwood, Tx. I wouldn't let him try to fix this on me if it were free. If anything, he should pay the cost of the revision I have to get done by another surgeon.

Have you ever had a lift or work done to nipple area? I have seen this happen with others, possibly he can offer a revision? Even if he freehand drew the nipple they all use the same circle tool .
