Breast augmentation for asymmetric boobs!

I am having a breast augmentation on Sept. 16, 2021. I have been thinking of having it done for probably about 7 years but have been seriously researching it for about the past year.
I went to 3 consultations with surgeons in the Denver area before selecting my surgeon, Dr. Stacey Folk. My initial consultation was in December 2020 with one of her nurses and my pre op appointment was about two weeks ago. I chose Dr. Folk because she has amazing reviews, she is double board certified in reconstructive and plastic surgery, her before and afters were what made me want to get a breast aug in the first place & are very natural, and she is a woman so I feel more comfortable with her! The thing I was the most worried about was going too big, and I don't have any worries about that with her.
Before my consults, I honestly don't think I looked super hard at my boobs (lol). They were just kinda there. I wouldn't say I am hugely insecure about them on a daily basis, but I would feel insecure about them sometimes. I will post some pics of how they look now.
During my pre op however, Dr. Folk mentioned that my surgery would not be super easy because I have asymmetric breasts that are a bit tuberous. My left breast is about ~40+ grams smaller than my right breast and also the crease is higher than my right breast crease. She said "you aren't vanilla, you're rocky road" LOL. Because of all this, Dr. Folk recommended going with a low profile implant in one breast (I think the right breast) and a moderate profile in the other (left I think). She is going to bring implants in a 100cc range from about 250cc's and 350cc's into the OR and will try on sizers, prop me up, make sure they are proportional and even - all that.
I'm glad about that forsure as I was a little stressed on just not knowing what size to go with. I want a super natural look as I am 5'2" and weigh about 120 lbs. I don't want people to look at me and go "oh there's the girl with big boobs". I just want it to be like "oh her boobs look good" lol.
She also might use galaflex mesh on my left boob crease to prevent the double-bubble which I am at risk for because of my anatomy! She said she most likely won't but will have it on hand just in case. The galaflex would dissolve after a year and would provide internal support.
I have picked up most of my prescriptions from the pharmacy and have gotten most of the supplies I will need post-op and now I just have to wait about four more days for the surgery! I have to be there at like 5am so super early! Pretty excited at this point :)

Surgery day!
Glorious8470September 16, 2021
I had surgery today! Pre-op went my quickly this morning and before I knew it, I was waking up in recovery. I remember my surgeon saying something about what breed of puppy she had - which I need to ask her about at my post op cus I know a lot about dog breeds but didn’t know the one she said she had! Lol. The last thing I remember was dr folk asking me what music I like, then I woke up and she was like “I really liked your music choice!”
When I woke up I was very tired and a little disoriented. The nurse asked me about pain and I said 5-6/10 so she gave me some pain meds through my IV. I was just relaxing after that and it kinda hurt to breathe but I still took deep breaths which they recommended.
I took an oxycodone and then was wheeled out to meet my boyfriend. They let me use the bathroom, explained discharge stuff, took my IV out, and then left at about 11:00am, so was there from 5:30am-11am total (surgery at 7:30).
It’s about 4:30pm now and I feel better than I thought I would to be honest. I ate quite a bit and haven’t been nauseous, but they gave me lots of nausea meds. Haven’t had a bowel movement and will probably be bloated soon. I’m not super out of it or anything and can get up and walk around. Planning on taking it easy for the next few days for sure but I think I’ll be able to go to my online classes starting on Monday and could even do a little homework on the computer on Sunday maybe.
One think my nurse told me was that for the first 72 hours, nutrition is key. She mentioned eating lots of good nutrient dense foods and getting lots of protein. So my boyfriend is going to Whole Foods to get more protein powder. The protein helps regenerate the new skin to heal the incisions.
I forgot to talk about the sizes the dr ended up using!! She said she would start with 325 I believe on left and 250 on right I believe and she would adjust if that didn’t look right. But her first guess is what she went with cus she said it looked good! I’ll post a pic of my implant card. She also went with sientra implants which I’m happy with! They have a good warranty and I’ve heard they are the best.
Other than that, I’m feeling better than I thought I would emotionally. I was worried I would feel worse than I do, but I feel fine. I think I will heal quickly. However during surgery, the doc used local anesthesia as well as general, so once the local wears off I may be in more pain. Not sure. I’m happy I went through with the surgery, the implants don’t look too big or anything but are swollen. I’m excited to see them drop and fluff!!

Dr folk called me night before surgery :)
Glorious8470September 16, 2021
I forgot to mention that dr folk called me personally the evening before surgery which was very nice! We went over some important things to remember and just were both excited about the surgery lol
The anesthesiologist also called me the night before surgery and eased my mind and told me he would take great care of me :)
The only issue with communication was with the rose hospital pre registration and check in situation. They sent me an email asking to pre register for surgery a week before and I did that, even got confirmation email that I completed. The next day a nurse called, and I had to answer all the preregistration questions again (didn’t mind this). But then they called AGAIN wanting me to pre register the next day, so either they didn’t save the data from first two times, or couldn’t access it?? Then to top it off, when I got there this morning, all my check in paperwork was “not complete”, and they just put “unknown” for everything. So that was kinda annoying, and the check in lady seemed annoyed that I didn’t pre register, when I did twice :/ but I didn’t have to deal with all that except for right when I got to the hospital, and after that everyone was on point and organized.

Thanks for starting your review and good luck with your surgery!
