After 14 Years of Dreaming, It's Finally Happening!
WORTH IT$5,500
I've spent the past 14 years dreaming of having larger breasts. Don't get me wrong, I do like my smaller chest, and I manage to stand pretty tall and confident; however, there was just this part of me that admired larger breasts and wanted that for myself. I was an A cup most of my life. After gaining a bit of weight I think I just barely hit a B cup, where I stand now. I rarely wear a real bra, but when I do, I can get away with a 34B, or a 34C in a VS push-up. When considering the size I wanted, I had to find that tricky balance between not too small, not too big...I want them to feel and look 'just right'. This is where Crystal, Dr. Wittpenn's nurse came into play. She allowed me to try on several 'sizes' to find the perfect fit for me. I ended up asking if I could go between a 350cc and 400cc, and Dr. Wittpenn and his team made the perfect 380cc's happen for me.
What I loved most about my consult was that Dr. Wittpenn went straight for the potential consequences of the augmentation, the negatives. You'd think a plastic surgeon who makes a living off of surgery would want to avoid 'scaring off' his clients, right? Here's the thing, hearing about the negative things upfront, to allow me to be more strongly informed and understand the consequences, helped me make a better and more confident decision. I admired that he started our consult off this way, as it only further built the trust and let me know that this decision was, in every way, completely up to me.
The process to schedule my surgery was quick and easy, thanks to Cindy!
I honestly felt so welcomed by all the office staff, and I am more than happy with my choice of surgeon and facility. I am looking forward to sharing more of my journey with you all.
My surgery is officially scheduled for May 13...and it's hard to believe that in just a week my life will have completely changed!
I will be taking some 'before' photos to share later on, as well as post-op photos throughout the healing process.
Here are my 'specs' for those interested:
-Currently a 34B
-Currently one breast has a wider chest space than the other, but it isn't a significant difference
My surgery:
-Breast augmentation, Mentor XTRA gel, round and smooth, moderate plus profile, submuscular, inframammary fold incision, 380cc's.

Not to be rude, they don't make 380cc Mentor MemoryGel Xtra in moderate profile plus. They make it in high profile. Did you get high profile implants?

I have Mentor MemoryGel Xtra 370cc moderate profile plus and the next size up is 405cc in that profile. In the high profile they do make a 380cc for the Mentor MemoryGel Xtra. Just wondering, after my BA I feel like I want to go with high profile for more projection. I love my results now it's just little things that I didn't think I would want after the fact lol

Surgery Date Approaching!
My surgery date is in just a matter of days, it's so crazy to think about! I've been preparing for recovery by making sure I have plenty of comfy pillows and easy-to-wear PJs to lounge around in for 3-4 days. I'm lucky to have such a supportive significant other who will be caring for me for a few days after my surgery. I've got the pain meds and anti-nausea meds picked up and ready to go. I'm hoping the pain won't be too severe, as I have a relatively high pain tolerance...but we'll see!
I would love to hear about any pre-op and post-op care tips you may have, or anything you wish you would have known prior to your BA!

The 'rice test'
So in anticipation for the 'big day', I did the suggested 'rice test' for my friends and family who were already so curious to see the potential results. Of course, this is simply an idea of what they COULD look like, so it will be interesting to see how the actual results compare to suffing my bra with bags full of uncooked white rice, haha. I decided to attach the photos for you guys to see. I like how there is a noticable difference, but it isn't 'too in your face'.
Less than 48 hours until surgery! :o

Each individual has different preferences and has a different starting shape and size, which makes comments like this unhelpful. It's better for the individul to consult their surgeon about their size concerns.
