Morning of day two - sore!

The procedure went so well!! Dr Thompson and his team were absolutely amazing. Now for the healing to begin!

Here’s a recap of Day One:

I arrived for checkin at 11am with my husband, got admitted right away and was in surgery at around 12:30 I believe. Husbandman got a call at 1:15 that I was done and just waking up, he picked me up at 4 and I was lounging in bed by 4:30.

We prepped the bedroom the night before and morning of, ensuring everything I would need was exactly where I needed it. I got two new pillows (total of 4) to prop me up- this is perfect- and some light weight blankets for the bed. I washed and replaced bedding the day of so everything was as clean as possible.

I was super hot when I came home so lounged with only a bra, light sheet and fan on until I fell asleep last that night. I hadn’t eaten all day so my hubby grabbed fresh, raw juice from a local juice place and a healthy power bar for me to snack on, I was really thankful for this because I had zero appetite but also had low blood sugar and it was easy to take down. I was pretty sore and weird feeling yesterday. I slept for most of the day. In addition to my juice and snack I had some toast with butter for supper, and before bed had a sliced apple and chicken broth. I felt like I was going to throw up twice, I think this was coming down from the anesthetic, luckily I didn’t! :)

It’s about 7am the day after and have been up since 5:30 after my first Tylenol dose (2, 500mg gels). My follow up appointment is at 9:30 so will have a light brekky with my meds and then begin my day of tv and bed.

It’s the night before the surgery and I’m excited and also really nervous! I’ve sent a good part of my adult life contemplating breast augmentation and finally concluded it was the right choice for me!

I met with my doctor for a consult on March 8 (I was on the waitlist since October!) and he told me he had an opening for 19th... needless to say 11 days warning was a bit of a shocker but, what the hell? I want it so I might as well roll with the universes plan for me.

Today I spent the day prepping the house for post surgery me and getting food and snacks ready. My husband has the day off work tomorrow to help me and then I have a friend coming over the following day to take me to my follow up and hang :), so I should be in great hands!

I am so thankful to all the other women who have shared their stories and pictures. I guess it’s my turn to pay it forward!

So here it goes... my BA journey starts now :)
