I’m a 28 y/o mom of two boys, aged 3 and 8. I’ve wanted this procedure for years now. Pregnancy was never easy on my body, I’m petite 4’11 around 110-120lbs, and left me feeling like I was a 25 year old in a 50 year olds body. I researched and saved relentlessly. Finally my husband came across Dr. Chris Thomson, only a few hours away from where I live. I was so excited and nauseatingly nervous once I was finally booked for a mastoplexy (lift and augment) and tummy tuck. The staff were so inviting from the start. Dr. Chris was very straightforward and I trusted his knowledge fully. The experience so far has been really good. I’ll post updates as my recovery process goes along.

Sorry I’ve started posting late but will try and go back as detailed as I can. Surgery day was Oct. 25th, I was so nervous I hadn’t slept much in a week, as a mom I felt like I had so much to prepare for up until surgery day, so when it finally came I actually just got anxious for the recovery to start. The whole process was very quick, the nurses and anesthesiologist were amazing to me and my husband. One nurse I’ll remember forever because she would tell me how much like her daughter I was so I feel like she really gave me motherly care that my nerves so desperately needed lol. I had some complications under anesthesia that no one had foreseen, but I feel greatful I was in safe capable hands. I had hoped to put in 450cc ultra high profile implants to upgrade my very deflated natural 36D’s and Dr. Thomson explained the risks of trying to put in implants that technically will fit but might cause complications. I ended up with 415cc regular profile (I’ll talk more about that soon) The pain off the very start was more than I had expected, I feel like I got more pain meds for getting a tooth pulled lol, but not too excruciating. I feel like all the pain came from the abdominal muscle repair, Dr. Thomson had explained my muscles were extremely separated and he did more than usual to bring them together, and it still is the main source of pain. Each day has gone by slowly but easier and easier. Still the majority of my discomfort is due to me still having to clear my lungs after intubation, coughing is no easy task but gets less and less. I’ve stopped taking the small dose of Morphine I was prescribed and used just for nights mostly. I ended up having to send pics to Dr. Thomson as my tummy had gotten quite hot, red and increasingly swollen just between the belly button and the incision. Not an hour later and he had sent in an antibiotic for me in case of early infection starting. I can’t lie it was hard not to panic but I hadn’t had any other signs of infection so I just tried to take it easier. I haven’t been sleeping well at night, especially without the hard pain meds but feeling pretty good otherwise, trying to walk and go out for fresh air with my dogs helps quite a bit to not feel like such a zombie. I’m still unsure of my implant size, they are crazy swollen yet so I know I cannot say much but they look so tiny! Like from surgery day to now my side profile is the same if not smaller, so I’m growing crazy impatient to see them drop and fluff lol. But otherwise I’m super excited to see the results, I wasn’t able to look at myself before yesterday because I’d get queezy. But now it’s so far so good! Fingers crossed the antibiotics kick the chance of infection.

It’s crazy it’s been a week since surgery day. I was feeling so good day 5 that I really over did it the last two days. It doesn’t help that I expected to have more help with my kids and house than I ended up having. So really trying to slow down more. My tummy is really starting to itch. I can’t wait till I’m not so swollen but I never thought I’d be so happy to finally see a glimpse of my hips again lol. My boobs feel like they’re crazy engorged and I can’t close my armpits. I can’t wait till they feel like a part of my body’s again.

Starting to feel back to normal. The having to sleep on my back is what really messed with me as I’m a strict side sleeper. I’ve gotten full sensation in my breasts/nipples but very numb on my tummy. So loving every day the swelling gets better and better! I can’t believe how happy I am to see my hips lol. Sorry for the late updates but I tried to at least take pics to show the progress. Everything has gone really smooth. Oh other than I had went WAYYYY too long without having a bowel movement, which I was taking something for every night but it must not have been strong enough because I almost had to go into the ER it was so bad. Lots of mineral oil and aloe Vera juice later and it did the trick. DONT let yourself get too backed up. Trust me. Taking the tapes off was also really nerve wracking, it was a struggle not to get faint so I relied on my hubby a lot and he helped reassure me till I could bring myself to look and I was so pleasantly surprised.

I’ve been feeling really good! I love looking at my stomach become more defined every morning. My boobs…I love from the front view but the side profile not so much right now. But they have ALOT of settling and dropping and I know I’m being super impatient. I’ve started carefully sleeping on my side with a body pillow. Which makes my sleep almost back to normalish. I’ve been getting a tight pinching/lightning shooting pain in both my boobs and tummy but I was told is totally normal and my nerves waking back up. It goes away more everyday. I have some denting under my breasts and puckering on my incisions on my hips I can see now but I’m honestly so surprised how happy I am with my results it doesn’t bother me. And Dr. Thomson said if I did develop dog ears that it’s an easy fix he is happy to do for me.

These last two months have gone by so quickly so I’m sorry I missed my 2 month update. But things have really been uneventful when it comes to healing. Everything has been going great. I’ve been putting on my SkinMedica Scar recovery gel 2x a day (Dr. Thomson provided). My belly button has settled nicely, which I was worried about. I’m still quite swollen around my TT scar between my belly button and the lower scar-I’m guessing it’s from the muscle repair. I did notice I must have pulled stitches in the muscle, I had a bad fall on the ice and tried to catch myself not noticing how much I had overstretched at about my 2 month mark. It’s not overly noticeable unless I flex my stomach there is an area on my left side that doesn’t flex in. I did have pain after that but not any more. I’m still getting used to the implants, they have dropped a lot and I’m liking the front view. Still not loving the side profile tho. I’m sure they still have a lot more settling to do yet. I haven’t been able to start exercising much yet so I’m excited to get back into it soon and see the results. Also have been advised to not wear underwire bras yet. I’m not sure for how much longer? But all in all I’m completely back to normal and loving it. No regrets and I can’t explain how much this has helped with my confidence!!

Dr. Thomson is an excellent plastic surgeon. I am 66 and had a tummy tuck and breast reduction - the results are amazing. I could not be more pleased. He takes the time to answer all questions and is so professional and caring. I am just 3 days post surgery now and the discomfort has been very manageable and less pain than I was expecting. Do not hesitate to book a consultation with Dr. Thomson . Saskatoon is very lucky to have such a skilled and caring surgeon .

I’m 4’11,” 108lbs
240cc HP under the muscle…
My question is… my left breast feels fine, hardly any pain or discomfort however, my right breast is pretty uncomfortable, it’s so tight and feels like it’s going to explode lol
Is this normal?

I’m 4 weeks post surgery. I did 240cc under the muscle… I did a bit more than I should have at the beginning so I still feel a bit of pain..
My nipples are still very sensitive and sore.
Sleeping is MUCH easier, however I do miss sleeping on my stomach!
I LOVE my results! They are getting much softer, and look extremely natural!

I went in for a mommy make over yesterday. Breast implants and a mini tummy tuck. All went really well. Day two now and I definitely feeling sore. So far I’m happy with my results and excited to see in the next few days as swelling and pain goes away.
For reference I’m 130lbs. I had two children who are 7 and 4. I have went with 310cc implants which was the largest he suggested for a more natural look that would fit my body size. i was a 32 C before surgery in Victoria secret bras for refer. I do worry I should have went bigger but it’s hard to say right now. I will update again in a few days

I started thinking about getting a breast augmentation about a year ago. I have 5 kids. I breastfeed 4 of them. I’ve always been petite but after kids my breast were so deflated. I had a consult in June 2019. I booked my appointment in the fall of 2019 for Jan 20,2019. Only down side is my job is very physically demanding and my doc made me take 4 wks off of work. Understandable.

Sorry forgot to mention that I had 265cc implants.. I think they a perfect size for me... a little bigger than I planned originally but after reading so many reviews of women wishing they had gone bigger.... I though I should go a little bigger and I’m so happy I did. Not many women who have had kids get the smaller implants...

I struggled with wait when I was younger and when I had my first child I was well over 200lbs and he was delivered by c-section. I lost 80lbs after this pregnancy and then kept that off and had two more children by c-section. There was a flap of skin that always hung off my waist no matter how much I dieted or exercised. I decided to look into a mommy make over and found Dr.Thomson on RealSelf and made an appointment for a consultation. The wait time for the consultation was a bit lengthy but after that I was able to book my surgery date within a few weeks.
Dr.Thomson and his staff were great. They answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. He is a very talented surgeon. Follow ups were easy and everything went without complications. I am very comfortable in my body and love the way I feel now. I would make this decision again. All the pictures are before, then just after surgery and then a year later.

I did a photoshoot a couple months ago so I thought I would update this with how great the end result keeps on getting as there aren't a lot of long term updates on these pages. I love the work Dr.Chris did and recommend him to everyone. <3

Weight was 128 lbs, 5’5” and 44 years old. Met with Dr Thomson once prior to surgery but he and his office were great at getting back to me with any questions I had. I met with him about 3 months after requesting an appt and got in for surgery 2 months after that. Day of surgery felt loopy but made sure I walked every hour. Could get in and out of bed myself. Day 1 had my follow up all good and went home. The drive home and the drugs I think ended up making me very sick. Dr. Thomson phoned in a presc and felt better very quickly. By week two could walk a couple miles at a time. Slept in a bed from the beginning. Now at week 6 pretty much 100%, still swell if I do a lot of activity and don’t watch the salt. Truly life changing. Dr Thomson is fantastic.

I am so happy with my results . I had a breast lift ,augmentation and tummy tuck . He did everything in one procedure and did and amazing job . So professional and really took his time explaining everything. It's been 2 years now and my scars are barely visible and my results are amazing . I would and do recommend him to anyone that asks . I have never felt more confident in my whole life . Best decision I ever made.

I had a tummy tuck a year ago performed by Dr. Chris Thomson in Saskatoon. I actually traveled to have the procedure done, even though I could have done it in my own city. I have a friend who's a nurse in Saskatoon, and she said she gets to see many surgeon's work, and she recommended I see Dr. Thomson. I'm so glad I did! I was really nervous about it all, especially the recovery, since I have small kids. Dr. Thomson made me feel so comfortable, and I am beyond pleased with the results. Now I'm kicking myself that I waited so long. There was some swelling right after surgery, but Dr. Thomson told me that would settle, and it did. I didn't find the recovery as bad as I was fearing, and when I had a question Dr. Thomson called me right back. My scar looks way better than my friends scar, who had the procedure done by a different doctor a few years ago. I'm really happy - now I'm considering getting a breast lift by Dr. Thomson!

I am so excited to have this surgery. I have had saggy breast since development & for as long as i can remember I have wanted this surgery. I am 34 years old, 5'6" and 150lbs. I am mom of two beautiful boys 6 & 4. I am having a breast lift and implants on April 1, 2014 with Dr. Chris Thomson. Dr. Thomson was fantastic in my consultation. He was very patient with me, answered all my questions & helped settle any fears I had. My surgery is a week away! I am getting so excited and a bit nervous!

Officially obsessed! I'm finding myself on this website all the time! Reading advice & looking at pics. I don't know what I would do without real self. I have found there are so few reviews from Saskatchewan & decided I would post my experience. My surgery will be at Prairieview Surgical Centre in Saskatoon. I am getting a full anchor lift with natrelle full projection silicone gel implants. He said he will place them subgladular to avoid the "double bubble" in the future. My ps said with my measurements I could have 280-300cc. I made some rice sizers and think I'm going with 300cc. Dr. Thomson will make the final decision. He knows I just want to be perkier & fuller on top not necessarily larger in size. I feel that if I'm already prone to sagging why put a heavy implant in only to make it sag again. I want this to last!!!!

Two more sleeps til my surgery and I have a slight cold. Just feel slightly congested in the sinuses and have a little bit of runny nose. I am worried about them cancelling my surgery. It says on my pre-op instructions to notify them if I develop a cold, however, it came over the weekend. I have been looking forward to this day for so long! Has anyone else had this happen??? I will call tomorrow and let them know. Fingers crossed I wake up and it's gone :(

Well it's all done! Yay! Had a good night last night. Slept in the automatic recliner, it was amazing. My mom came to take care of me. She set the alarm for every 4 hrs to keep on top of my meds. I was very nauseated & could keep anything down. Today is a bit better. Yesterday couldn't have gone any better. The staff at Prairieview were so helpful & made me feel very comfortable. I ended up with 320cc subgladular implants. They feel very swollen & tight today. Pain isn't too bad. More than I expected but tolerable. Thanks for all the support. I will update more later.

Day 2 post op. feeling pretty good today. Had my follow up appt. with my p.s. Everthing is looking good to him. I have some bruising esp. on my right breast but he feels it's ok. I thought I was having a full anchor lift as it turns out I have had a lollipop lift. No scar in crease under my breasts. Loving my new additions! Still resting & taking my meds. So lucky to have my mom here to take care of me & my family. Not sure what I'd do without her.

Feeling Crappy today, But I quit taking the morphine. I didn't like the way I was starting to feel on it. So achy & burning sensations but not too bad. Really tired, night everyone. Wishing you all speedy recoveries!

I'm one week post op now & everything is going great with healing. I am however experiencing numbness in my arms and upper back late in the day and into the evening. It doesn't hurt it's just an uncomfortable pins and needles feeling. Has anyone else experienced this????

Wow, 11 days post op already! Left boob healing great, right still very bruised and swollen. I saw my surgeon & he thinks they are both healing just fine and not to worry. Not painful anymore just uncomfortable & a bit itchy. I have to try to keep the tape on for a month so the tape is ugly. Sutures are buried, then he put glue on the incisions then tape on top. So under tape is still bloody, yuck! I'm having fun trying on swimsuits & tops. Cleavage it great! Something I've never had before! Here are some updated photos.

Good morning ladies. It has been 3 weeks since my surgery. Everything has been going great. They are settling & softening, & feeling more natural everyday. Not sure if anyone else out there has this but I still have my original tape on from surgery! My surgeon said it should last about a month. I find it a bit hard to look at them as the tape has dried blood from the incisions. My sutures are buried and then he put glue on top and then the tape on top of the glue. So it's on there good!!! Lol! Now that the swelling has come down the tape is pretty itchy. I'm anxious for it to come off so I can start scar treatment. I see my ps next week so we will see what he says. Apart from that I'm enjoying how they look & trying on different clothing!

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all good & healing well! It's been six weeks since my surgery. Time sure does fly! I finally had my tape taken off at 4 weeks & was excited to see what my scars looked like. I have a few hypertrophic scars & was worried about my incisions. So far they are pretty good. I have been applying scar zone & silicone sheeting since the tape came off.
My breast feel good! I keep saying its too bad there are two because if your like me you keep comparing the two of them. For me, they are two very different breasts so the results are different. I find that part hard to take. After spending that much money I want them to be "perfect." But what a difference! I feel great in my tops & fill out my swimsuits, I have more confidence & feel sexy. That was the goal!
