How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Botox for Bruxism / TMJ
Botox injections for jaw tension and teeth grinding (bruxism) has been life changing. The results are far beyond what I expected, it feels magical after trying numerous other treatments that simply "managed" the pain.
I've had TMJ for 30 years, and have been to numerous doctors and dentists for the grinding, clenching, muscle spasms, and headaches. I've tried braces, muscle relaxers, physio, massage, night guards - but was constantly searching for a better treatment. I first heard about botox injections to treat the overactive muscles about 5 years ago, and did loads of research before starting treatments with Dr Patterson at Woodford Medical 18 months ago.
My TMJ went from something that affected how I ate and spoke to being something I've forgotten about 99% of the time. I no longer wake up with an achy jaw and neck from stressful nights. And an unexpected side effect: everyone tells me I have higher cheekbones and a slimmer face, because the overused muscles are shrinking to normal size. I recommend trying botox for bruxism to everyone who mentions they grind their teeth, and Dr Patterson in particular because he and all the staff at Woodford Medical have been honest, realistic about treatment goals, and attentive to my specific care.
