Battling Inflammation Six Months Post Op
It has been six month since I had my neck lift in January. I am very happy with my outcome , but am still dealing with one last area of tissue inflammation. When reading the Q&As on Real Self, most doctors advised that bumps and areas of swelling usually abate by the three month mark, so I guess I'm a bit of an outlier.
Dr. Rogers has been wonderful, following me closely. He feels confident that this will resolve in time, but admits he doesn't see this often. We have tried both diluted cortisone shots and Botox (in case of parotid leak), which have helped a little, but I sure would like this gone. My skin and neck look so very improved I just want to celebrate, but it's hard to ignore this nodule in the pretty new hollow of my left cheek. I share pictures with and with and without makeup.

Three Months Later
I'm so very happy with my new neck and the improvement I've seen in my skin since my January 9th procedure. Still dealing with tissue inflammation in my lower cheeks. Will be having a session of IPL to see if that helps. It's definitely diminishing with time. Much better than a month ago, but I would love it resolve entirely. It feels like cysts beneath my skin. I wonder if this is what others refer to as hard spots. Still cannot recommend Dr. Leif Rogers highly enough. His aftercare has been tremendous.
