How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Realself keeps blocking my ability to write

back to any of you. So, for whatever reason, I'm not sure why some of you can write me and I cannot respond. Just want you to know that no matter what, I will keep writing. I took down my youtube but at some point, I'll update there too.

My upper jaw was cut and removed

So, after all this time I found out Dr. Frankel and his "team" removed a large portion of my upper jaw. which is why I cannot smile or speak easily anymore. I know Realself has blocked y'alls ability to write on here to me as I've been contacted by a few of you, but I wanted everyone who has watched this to know, my upper maxillary was removed during the procedure. Additionally, he took bone away from the back of my face, to try to shorten my face. That is why my mouth became closed and a bunch of hanging skin started to show. Due to the removal of bone. Online this procedure is an orthognathic one, not a plastic surgeons one. So, I have been calling around. I'll keep you posted and of course I'm devastated and completely angry that someone would deliberately harm a life this way. I'll never get over the abuse of a human life. My life. It was my beautiful life, and he stole it, and laughed at us when we asked what he did to us. Online it says after you do this kind of procedure you have to do a lip lift because it makes women's lips look so bad. Due to the removal of bone. None of us can smile anymore and there is a very real reason.

Frontalis Sling!

Dr. Frankel is the gift that just keeps giving. I found out the reason my eyes look so weird is he gave me a frontalis sling! It's for congenital birth deformity or ptosis. But, trust me, go look at the eyes of other reviewers, he gives it to a lot of us. It changes the shelf of the eye! I never had droopy eyes. I had pretty eyes. He told me my eyes were the elephant in the room and tried to sell me eye procedures, but when I declined, HE did it anyway! and never ever did I say i want my eyes touched. Meanwhile. I can't take photos, I'm in tons and tons of pain from pulling because the Frontalis sling attaches your lid to your EYEBROW and it is NOWHERE on any report. heaven help me. This doctor works for the county. He is in a network that accredits students and never told me. Very unscrupulous to say the least. But, I keep telling you guys what i find, in case you have the same issues.

I like Dr. Frankel. He thought I was pretty, but I told him I wanted my bossae covered. He is charming and a very good salesman--he convinced me I was in good hands and that he would make my nose larger. I told him the issue with my previous surgeon was aftercare and he promised to let me speak to him directly. However, once I saw that he removed my columella, cut off my footplates and shortened my nose 6 mm, I tried contacting the office. Not only do my emails have to go through his front staff (as nice as they are), but, he writes back and claims to have had to go over things in the emails without ever addressing them. I have met with very good surgeons to help fix this and they say the footplates cannot be put back and that I need rib now to rebuild my nose. They say despite the addition of a graft on the bridge, that one isn't actually there. Dr. Frankel promised not to take any tissue out and just did whatever he wanted, cut things off and threw them in the trash. It's not only that he didn't do what he promised, it's that his refusal to call me to explain how to undo it, is very disturbing and toxic for a patient. I have communicated with lots of patients on here and they are all baffled why a surgeon won't contact them and answer their questions. Perhaps he is nervous about lawsuits, but the lack of response is what would make someone that upset. Mostly, people just want to be seen and heard. I am very disappointed in what Dr. Frankel did to me. And moreover that his ethics are not based in compassion or care about the patient. Yes, he did a lot to me I did not consent to, however, had he just called and treated me as a person with an issue and helped me get it fixed, I think I wouldn't be so upset. Please know this is just my experience and I do think he is a capable doctor. Just not a very good person at this point. He doesn't stand by his work and won't communicate with patients with an issue.
