Decades ago I had to have a cyst in my throat...

Decades ago I had to have a cyst in my throat removed and was left with a fairly large scar on my neck. That procedure, along with genetics and aging, had left the skin underneath my chin a mess. I felt bad about the way I looked.
On the recommendation of a friend, and without doing much research (I won't make that foolish mistake again) I went to Dr. Cynthia Boxrud in Santa Monica, specifically to fix the problem underneath my chin. She said she could help this problem with a mini lift. Since her specialty is eyes, I went ahead and also had an upper blepharoplasty. I won't go into any further detail about my experience with Dr. Boxrud here, other than to say that $10,000 and three weeks worth of lost wages later, the skin underneath my chin was still a mess, my earlobes were now a mess, and I had obvious vertical scars in front of my ears. I will post a separate review of my experience with Dr. Boxrud on this site.
So I searched for another doctor to help me with my problem and was fortunate to find Dr. David Alessi in Beverly Hills. I had his signature U-lift, which is similar to a lower facelift, as well as CO2 laser. During the procedure he was also kind and talented enough to take the skin he removed from my lower face and sew some of it into my nasolabial folds. I don't know how he did that, I hadn't asked him to do that, but I am thrilled that he did!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Alessi. He's very busy and has been doing this for years, so I had the good fortune of benefiting from his years of experience. He is double board certified, specializing in head and neck surgery. He is a master in his field. His technique is superb, he is an artist, and he is a kind and compassionate man. I am grateful to have found this wonderful doctor.
I am only seven weeks out and still a bit swollen and numb in areas.
I have to go now but will continue posting images of my results and further thoughts, as well as a review of Dr. Alessi. I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have.
