Though I’m only 3 months into my post-rhinoplasty, I can confidently say that I’m already ecstatic with my results, and would recommend anyone in a heartbeat to go to Drs. Leiberman and Parikh. I’m 24 years old, and I had been considering getting rhinoplasty for almost 10 years. I went back and forth on it for a long time, just because I made the mistake of watching rhinoplasty videos on YouTube and thought, “There’s no way I could go through something like that.” I did have a few friends who had a rhinoplasty, and mentioned it wasn’t that bad, but I assumed they had a high pain tolerance unlike myself. About a year ago, I was looking in the mirror examining my nose as I often did, and decided I should at least go to a consultation to help me make up my mind. At the time, I was living in Orange County and went to two different consultations there. The doctors I met there were just ok—I didn’t really click with them and felt like I was being sold to, but I kind of just assumed all plastic surgeons were like that. They would say things like “You’ve got a good face besides the nose, but we’ll make you even more beautiful!” They would point out what was wrong with my nose, didn’t really answer my questions, and just had me look at photos of their best work. I wasn’t really convinced, and went back to being unsure about whether I wanted to go through with it or not. My parents live in the Bay Area, and suggested I should look into getting the surgery done at home so I could recover with them taking care of me. After extensive research online, I booked a consultation with Drs. Leiberman and Parikh. I first met with Dr. Leiberman, and right away I felt at ease. He’s down to earth, easy to talk to, listens to your needs, and carefully gives his opinion. He was incredibly patient with all my questions and my mom’s questions, taught us a bit about the anatomy of a nose, and showed us relevant before/after photos, like patients who had similar “before" cases, or people with similar skin types. Dr. Parikh was with another patient at the time, and he took the time to introduce himself to me when he was done. The other surgeons I met with prior to this tried to promise me the world, and would beat around the bush when I would ask about risks or revision rhinoplasties. Drs. Leiberman and Parikh were honest about everything; I didn’t feel they were trying to cover up information just to get me to book the surgery. They want you to have all the information, and you walk out of the consultation knowing everything you need to know. I had no doubt in my mind that I would move forward with the surgery, and booked it right then. Going into the surgery, I wasn’t nervous at all—I was really comforted knowing that I had two experts who would be doing the procedure. The surgery went smoothly, and the recovery was nothing more than uncomfortable. The night of the surgery, I got a phone call from Dr. Leiberman asking how I was feeling, and making sure everything was alright. I met with Dr. Parikh about a week later to get the cast and splints removed, and loved my nose immediately, even though it was incredibly swollen. I remember thinking that that even if that was the final result, I would be happy. I’ve had two follow up appointments since, and my nose looks better and better every day. Their staff has also been really easy to work with, and are prompt when responding to emails and scheduling follow ups. It does take a full year to heal, but Drs. Leiberman and Parikh did such an amazing job, it looks beautiful even with the swelling! Many people couldn’t pinpoint the change right away but knew something looked better, and the people that did notice have all said it looks so natural. I finally feel like I have the nose I should have been born with, and I couldn’t be happier! I never thought I would be so confident with myself. Thank you Drs. Leiberman and Parikh, you’ve changed my life!
