Dissatisfied with Scars and Bedside Manner

I had a thigh lift and arm lift after a great experience with Dr. Merriman the first time. The second time around I didn’t have a pleasant experience. With plastic surgery you are going to have scars, but when the surgeon is dismissive about it and lacks bedside manner, it’s hard to believe they care about you as a patient.

Dr Merriman is skilled in her craft but she needs better bedside manner. Having compassion for patients is free. I gave her another chance at a follow up appointment but I will not return. I expressed to the MA I didn’t want my after photos taken because my scars are hypertrophic and keloids, yet I felt like I was forced to take photos.

Dr. Merriman offered to do a small revision at a cost. However, my last revision she performed, she didn’t ensure I was numb before beginning and I could feel her cutting my back open.

I wouldn’t pay someone to touch me again who shows no regard for their patients feelings or concerns.
