I'm nervous because I read that blockage of blood vessels can occur from external compression of the blood supply by surrounding filler or swelling causing blindness. I also read that filler can accidentally seep into blood vessels and find its way into the eyes artery causing blindness.
Was booked for Restylane for my tear troughs, but went to another dermatologist to get a second opinion. She said fillers are dangerous and risk blindness, that it is too difficult (she is a highly respected surgical dermatologist). Said my thin undereye skin mixed with fat cheeks, the amount of filler needed would make me look like I have edema and make my eyes look worse and even darker, and that there's nothing I can do to correct it. Can't afford fat graft, is there anything else I can do?
Monday RN/injector prescribed prednisone/arnica. It feels less bumpy and looks better in the mirror (looks awful in the close up pic). After reading reviews I'm scared it's necrosis and I might go blind. Do you think it's necrosis and can I go blind?
I am having a disagreement with my doctor over the use of Restylane around the eyes. My doctors insists that it is safe. However, I have heard that there are two other patients that went blind when using Restylane around the eyes. 1.Were the two patients injected with Restylane with a blunt or sharp needle? 2. Did the two patients suffer only partial blindness to one eye or unilateral blindness? 3. Also, where can the cases of these two patients be found in the medical literature?
Hello, I would like to know if there is a possibility of blindness if I would decide to let MD treat area close to inner corners of my eyes with Restylane - red stars at picture If so, whats the probability of this event occur? Are there any crucial blood vessels in that area? Is the probability higher then probability of blindness while undergoing tear trough treatment with Restylane? I would really love to look more rested..but I guess Its right to not to be sure if I would risk my sight
Hi, I would love to do dermal filler in my lips but I have read about the serious complication of blindness. I have very poor vision in one eye meaning I only have a strong good eye. I think this would be a huge risk I could take. I know this complication is rare, but devastating! Please any comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
