since microneedling about 5 years ago, I got this pigmentation under my left eye and have tried all kinds of creams - obagi system, hydroquinone plus retinol, other combination like azelaic acid and arbutin Nothing has worked. Looks like it is deeper in my dermis and wondering if any laser suitable for brown skin will work? Appreciate suggestions.
I had the Erbium Yag Laser two years (2/2020) ago and PIH developed under / around my eyes, on my forehead and on my jawline one week after I was lasered. Exactly where it is today. I have used Triluma, hydroquinone, steroids and retionds. I have had two Halos, two micropeel lasers, four PicoSure treatments and two Perfect Peels. Nothing fully gets rid of it or it comes back. I most recently tried two Enlighten peels starting in December 2021 with strict 4% hydroquinone, steroid and retinol use for three months. The pictures are from today while I'm still following this regimen. I still have pigment. I finally saw my dermatologist after the plastic surgeon couldn't fix it and he thinks it's melasma that just happened to start at the exact same time as when I had the Erbium Yag two years ago and started me on oral Tranexamic Acid six weeks ago. I just want it to go away. What will make this fully go away? Is this permanent? What else can I do?
I have a visible orbital vein under one eye which one doctor said an be easily removed by laser because it was NOT attached to he bone and the other said he wouldn't touch because it's attached to the bone and can lead to blindness. Is there a safe way to remove these or is it dependant on if it's attached to bone? What are the questions I should be asking to understand what is correct given this conflicting information?
I have visible blue veins under both of my eyes due to my pale skin. I was told that treating these veins could cause me to go blind so now I'm worried of getting it treated. However, it bothers me. Is there any way of safely getting them removed? I obviously wouldn't bother if it meant I go blind Many thanks
I am 30 hrs post procedure of: 2 passes w/ Fraxel & then full face Erbium Ablative resurfacing. followed by microblading and PRP. My only concern is the amount of swelling in my left lower eye lid. Im drinking water, use ice packs, eat low salt, and sleep in recliner. The puffiness is tender&feels like a water balloon. Its under both eyes, but the left is worse. Im wondering when swelling will subside & if there are other tips for the swelling before I call dr. Also whats the yellow oozing?
I am Middle Eastern and was recently told by an Esthetician that the Yag 1064 is the only wavelength safe for darker skin tones. I am considering several laser treatments including the Halo, Infiniti, Vivace and Genesis. My primary areas of concerns are skin texture, large pores and fine lines under the eye area and between the brows. Genesis seems to be the only laser with a 1064 wavelength, however it seems to be used primary for redness and hyperpigmentation.
I've had PIH under my right eye for almost 2 years now. It's responding poorly to topical bleaching so I'm considering laser to get rid of it, but my derm only has the Q-switched laser. Are there really any advantages of the Q-switched laser over a picosecond laser for treatment of dermal hyperpigmentation? Or is the Q-switched just outdated in this field? From what I find the ps-laser just seems superior. Don't want to risk my results/face with old technology.
Im 34 years old, and have quite prominent fine lines undereye, especially much more when i smile or laugh. my doctor recommended nd-yag laser for my undereye fine lines. I've done 2 sessions, but i dont really see much difference. should i have Er-yag laser instead for my problem?
