Hello, I'm a South Asian woman who is currently looking for treatments for broken veins on my face. They're on the mild side but I don't want them because they're blue in colour. I'm aware that South Asians (Indian/Bengali/Pakistani and Sri Lankan) are prone to hyperpigmentation. I have hypermobility so my skin bruises and cuts easily. Would a patch test be appropriate first before going ahead with the procedure? Also, is it safe for Asian skin? Thank you to the doctors who'll answer this.
Broken capillaries on nose from past trauma. Time + Sun more prominent. 5 weeks ago had 4mm ndyag at 60scm2/15 ms. It hurt. Blistering that night. Blisters healed in approximately 2 weeks. Today, persistent redness/discoloration. Plastic surgeon and 2 other derm pros initially diagnosed this a post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that would likely resolve in 3-6 months. Plastic surgeon now says it won't resolve on its own. He wants to hit it with an electro-needle. Is there any hope?
2 days ago I had Nd yag laser for broken capillaries on each side of my nose. After the procedure I had two small hard blisters, filled with liquid. After I showered this morning I noticed that the blisters had burst and it is now a little circle shaped scab forming on each side. However, this scab seems to be formed in a little "hole" and around this hole the skin is slightly raised and red. I am very worried that I will be left with scarring, looks almost like chicken pox marks. What can I do?
I had my first Yag laser treatment for broken capillaries 3 weeks ago, and the dermatological laser surgeon focused greatly on the ones beside my nostrils. Unfortunately, the area turned black/red, blistered, scabbed and now has left these craters in my nose. What can be done to rectify this and should I wait longer than 3 weeks post-op before trying to fix this?
2 days prior to treatment, I jogged 30 minutes, midday w/o sunscreen. (winter here, no bright sun, overcast, and cold),. After the procedure, the doc did not put sunscreen on my face, and I was in the sun unprotected for 10 minutes (no sun, cloudy cold day) and then in car for 20 min? Then, was careful to stay in doors for 5 days. On 5th day I had to drive for 30 minutes each way and sun was shining. I was in car, and in/out of buildings. w/o sunscreen. Will I have hyperpigmentation damage?
