These are for my keloids. I'm sure you're wondering why I have 2 doctors, long story short one is better with the injections and the other is the only person in town with a v beam. Is there a more effective order or does it not matter, which treatment I first?
I have received kenalog injections that flattened all my keloids. My dermatologist did not provide laser treatment in the office. I have been reading on this website that V-beam lasers help with the volume and recurrence of keloids. Would it be worth it to pursue v-beam treatment for recurrence or medical benefits? My keloids are already flat so if they were to shrink in volume would they indent? My dermatologist said that it is rare for keloids to return after they have already gone flat.
The reason for the two doctors, is because the dr with the v beam is the only one in town. Originally I was having my injections done by him also, but my scars got worse. The v beam works great, but I went to another doctor for the steroid injections and his treatments have helped significantly. I can't seem to match up the treatments on the same day, that's why I'm asking if it is okay if I have them a week apart, starting with the vbeam.
